Colossians 3:12-17

12 Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. 13 Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. 14 And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.
15 Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful. 16 Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts. 17 And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.

Dear friends

This passage presents a series of advices that St. Paul gives to the community in order that his Christianity may truly be a life of love, not only with God but with each of the brothers.

Today we must focus our attention on knowing how to endure. Saint Paul, a man deeply rooted in the Spirit, as a great knower of human nature knows that our character, our tastes, etc., can not only be different from other brothers, but even contrary. We realize that in our communities, whether in school, at work, in the church or in our own neighborhoods, we relate to people who, because of their way of being or thinking, despite being good Christians, we It is difficult to live with them.

For this reason, St. Paul invites us to know how to "tolerate ourselves", knowing that in this the true love of God develops, which loves us all the way we are. It is not an easy virtue to acquire, nevertheless our daily effort and the grace of God always bear fruit.

Not only should we not harm anyone; we must do all the good that we can to everyone. Those who are chosen of God, saints and loved ones, should be humble and compassionate with everyone.

While we are in this world, where there is so much corruption, in our hearts, sometimes they will arise contests, but our duty is to forgive each other imitating forgiveness for which we are saved.

The soul thrives when we are full of the Scriptures and the grace of Christ. When we sing psalms we will be blessed by what we sing. Let's do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, and let's stand with faith in Him, whatever it is that we are busy with.

Those who do everything in the name of Christ will never lack a subject to thank God, the Father.

@felixgarciap The compassionate person sees the needs and problems of others, feels sorry for them and wants to help them. If our compassion cools, we can lose enthusiasm in the ministry and be less effective. On the other hand, striving to be compassionate will keep our enthusiasm alive. It will be like adding fire to a fire to keep it burning
