Those who believe

Those who believe

Blessed are those who did not see you,
yet believed in You.
Blessed are those who did not contemplate
your face and proclaim your divinity.
.
Blessed those who, in reading the Gospel,
have recognized in You the One
they were waiting for.
Blessed are those who, in your envoys,
discerned your divine presence.
,
Blessed are those who,
in their innermost from their heart,
hear your voice and responded.
Blessed are those who,
encouraged by the desire to touch God,
have found you in the mystery.
Blessed are those who,
in times of darkness,
clung more strongly your light.
Blessed are those who,
bewildered by the trial,
keep their trust in You.
.
Blessed are those who,
under the impression of your absence,
continue to believe in your proximity.
Blessed are those who,
not having seen you,
live the firm hope of seeing you one day.
Amen

Dear friends

We all want and always seek happiness, we all want to "be happy" and we think we will find happiness in having more things, in fun, in success, in fame, in comfort.

When Jesus came into the world, he warned us by telling us that men are wrong, that we are looking for happiness where it is not.
That is why one day he climbed the mountain and spoke to all the people who followed him on the beatitudes, explaining that happiness is not in having, dominating, enjoying ... but in something very different: in love and to be loved.

The only true happiness is not on earth but in heaven, in coming to be with God forever. Jesus tells us in the Beatitudes, who are those who should feel blessed, that is to say fortunate and happy, because they are on the right path to reach heaven.

Even Jesus' words resound to our days bringing comfort to those who are persecuted because of their faith:

11 “Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. 12 Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

The Beatitudes draw the face of Jesus Christ and describe his charity; they express the vocation of the faithful associated with the glory of their Passion and of their Resurrection; they illuminate the actions and attitudes characteristic of the Christian life; they are paradoxical promises that sustain hope in difficulties.
