Divine rejection (The things God hated in Esau)

Divine rejection is supernaturally encountered frustration, despite human efforts. It is a setback despite being under grace and it attracts ceaseless troubles in the midst of countless opportunities.

An example is the situation of Jacob and Esau. God said he loved Jacob but hated Esau.

It should be noted that if the devil is your problem, then there is a solution. But then, when God is your problem, and you have been divinely rejected, there would be big big trouble.

A further reading of the bible shows that it was not the name of Esau God hated, but his ways (as a man can be known through his ways)

So even though Esau came from a family of destiny, his character made him miss out on the covenant of God.

I am sure you remember that Esau was a hunter while Jacob was a farmer. This article critically scrutinizes the things God hated in Esau's ways (as a hunter) apart from the fact that he treated serious issues trivially and kept the wrong company.

Characteristics of hunters

• They set traps - Hunters set traps for their victims. What they do every time is to look for something to entice their target, so that it would become a victim.

Of course, this should not be taken literarily as a hunter in this sense refers to anyone who would use one's weakness to try to ensnare his neighbour.

• They kill for profit
  To hunters, in order for them to be able to sell anything, it has to be delivered dead. An example of this figuratively is people who bear false witness against their neighbours and do all sort of evil things so that they would get profit from it.

• Hunters are pretenders
  Hunters pretend as if they have the interest of their prey at heart, but at the end of the day, the end would be disastrous for the victims. These set of people are every where, pretending to be Christians whereas they are not genuine ones.

It is therefore advised that as Christians,we should live an exemplary life worthy of emulation by obeying the commandments of God and desist from having the attributes of a hunter as used in this context.
