Documenting from the first three kings of the 6th Dynasty, weni services during this period started his career under Teti and his humbling experience made a turn in his life, making him friend of Pepi I Meryre and at this moment, weni was made the general. Accounting that during the reign of Merenre Nemtyemsaf I, weni happened to be the Upper Egypt governor. At the time he was made judge, he was able to make good use of his office to help investigate the conspiracy of a suspected queen. Aging from Ancient Egypt, the Autobiography of Weni is an inscription of the tomb, signifying the Egyptology studies. Although it was recorded missing in 1880 as a result of Auguste Mariette stating that the tomb wasn't clear. But it was later found by Dr. Janet Richards who led the team of American archaeologist in 1999.
