STEEMCHURCH: Jesus tempted by the devil.

Our identity in Christ must be clear and stand firm, thus using the word of God against attacking the temptations of the devil, and be clear to whom we should only serve our Father Jehovah.

Matthew 4 Temptation of Jesus

Then Jesus was led by the Spirit into the wilderness, to be tempted by the devil.

2 And after he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was hungry.

3 And the tempter came to him and said to him, If you are the Son of God, say that these stones should become bread.

4 He answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.

5 Then the devil took him to the holy city, and placed him on the pinnacle of the temple,

6 and said to him: If you are Son of God, throw yourself down; because written is:
He will command his angels about you, and they will hold you in their hands,
So you do not trip on your foot in stone.

7 Jesus said to him, It is written also, "You shall not tempt the Lord your God."

8 Again the devil took him to a very high mountain, and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory,

9 And he said to him, All this I will give you, if you prostrate you will worship me.

10 Then Jesus said to him, "Go away, Satan, for it is written, 'You shall worship the Lord your God, and serve him only.'

11 The devil then left him; and behold, angels came and served him.

First we must have a clear and firm identity, who we are in Christ and who we are? children of God and while our identity does not fall it will be difficult for the devil tempting you will not be able to do it any way, so we would put the job of tempting us more complicated.

When we have a firm identity it is because we accept that Jesus died for our sins, illnesses, etc. The charge with everything to give us salvation and we became children of God and Jesus our lawyer before the Father.

also to resist temptation and not fall despite showing us so many good things, is to be prepared to discern and counterattack the devil and as Jesus counterattacked the devil through the word He said: Written this! that was the weapon that Jesus used and is the most powerful that can never be defeated is our weapon our two-edged sword.

if we realize Jesus in all the temptations that the devil put on him, he counteracted them, the devil knows where he has to tempt, he knew that Jesus was fasting for 40 days and 40 nights the hunger Jesus had was great because of that weakness that Jesus had that was the hunger satan I take advantage of, so he tends to do it with us because of our greatest weakness.

Then Jesus was led by the Spirit into the wilderness, to be tempted by the devil.

2 And after he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was hungry.

3 And the tempter came to him and said to him, If you are the Son of God, say that these stones should become bread.

4 He answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.

there we see how Jesus had a weakness, hunger, the Bible said he was hungry, then satan came and tempted him and Jesus answered with the word, this writing! and with the response that he gives we see that he is firm in his identity. He is the Son of God and not only lives by bread but by the word that comes from the mouth of God. the next, we see that the devil is still trying elsewhere to notice that when satan sees that Jesus answers him on the basis of the word the devil uses the technical technique.

5 Then the devil took him to the holy city, and placed him on the pinnacle of the temple,

6 and said to him: If you are Son of God, throw yourself down; because written is:
He will command his angels about you, and they will hold you in their hands,
So you do not trip on your foot in stone.

7 Jesus said to him, It is written also, "You shall not tempt the Lord your God."

the devil also uses the bible to tempt, as he did with Jesus but then Jesus responds with the bible telling him again written this. This was like a counterpoint, then the devil, and nothing could be achieved with the last word, but also the devil, that Jesus was not going to fall, because he is Son of God, just like now. Debiles and imperfect.

8 Again the devil took him to a very high mountain, and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory,

9 And he said to him, All this I will give you, if you prostrate you will worship me.

10 Then Jesus said to him, "Go away, Satan, for it is written, 'You shall worship the Lord your God, and serve him only.'

if we see Satan's final attempt to give Jesus a whole kingdom to worship him was an attempt that he knew was completely unsuccessful, because if we see Jesus owns everything he has everything is at the right hand of the Father, he just wanted to try another one before leaving that Jesus tells him, this one written! Only the Lord your God will you serve. until the end Jesus never lost his identity and did not stop using the bible. those are keys that we must know to arm ourselves with that strong shield and stop the darts of the devil. remember that he is very subtle and clever can get into any area of your life because Satan is an expert in knowing the weaknesses of each person, but armed with the sword could not have an easy target to attack.
