"Above all, take the shield of faith, with which you can put out all the fiery darts of the evil one"

The word darts, is "belos" in Greek that means missile, dart, javelin or arrow.
In antiquity this weapon was used to harm the opponent, disorient him and burn his possessions.
When one of these darts fell on a soldier, he wounded him, and above all he took the soldiers out of the battle route, producing fear. This is what the devil wants, that out of fear we get out of God's purpose and that way we can be damaged and our possessions burned. If the enemy manages to get you out of the purpose, it has you on target and advances on your terrain, because you are not in it, out of fear.
A very devoted friend of mine was experiencing a terrible battle against impure thoughts. He truly loved the Lord, and his desire above all else was to walk in holiness and justice. That kind of holy Christians are often molested in that way.
Satan is not stupid; he has his "fiery darts" aimed at those who represent a threat to his dark realm.

The doubt

Doubt is just the opposite of faith. Without faith we can not please God and when doubt enters our lives, we are no longer walking in faith, consequently we no longer please God. When doubt comes, the enemy takes me out of purpose. Always what you doubt, is what God has planned to do. The devil sends the doubt, because he has heard that you asked God and he knows that the one who asks receives and needs to do something so that you do not get it.

Do not doubt your healing, or your blessing, or your call or dream, God will do it.

The fear

Another dart of the enemy is fear. Fear is the exact opposite of trust in God. When the devil poses us a thought like I can not !, I have no strength !, etc. You are announcing and professingly declaring that you can not and automatically destine yourself to failure. He puts the thought to you, you fear and you activate it.

"Because God has not given us a spirit of cowardice, but of power, love and self-control." (2 TIMOTHY 1: 7)

Thoughts of Illness

Many diseases have been created by ourselves. Thoughts of illness. You will see that people who have thoughts of illness are always the sickest people. The first thought is I have an illness and the only thing they are doing is giving authority to the disease to be activated in one's life.

Thoughts of Scarcity and Poverty

It is another way that the enemy uses to separate us from our communion with our heavenly father, because by taking for granted that there is a shortage or we doubt that God will provide, it is there that we enter into the eagerness of life and begin to put the "works" as priority without realizing that we are leaving spiritual things as a last resort when the Bible says that it must come first (first). Remember that we must "work to live and not live to work". People who are scarce or with thoughts of poverty are not prepared to live in superabundance.

*(PHILIPPIANS 4:19) "My God, then, will supply everything that you need according to his riches in glory.

(MATTHEW 6:33) "But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you."*

The guilt

Guilt is another of the darts of the devil so we can not approach God, because feeling unworthy will not have the confidence to approach God and ask for his blessing and above all adore him with all our heart. For this reason we must not allow or open doors to the enemy so that he does not have to accuse us. Let us remember what "Devil" means: = Slanderer.

There is no condemnation, for those who are in Christ Jesus, when with a repentant heart they ask for forgiveness for their sins.

Discouragement

Discouragement is another weapon that the enemy uses. It is very linked to fear and doubt. They are thoughts of failure, of impossibility, of difficulty. It is when we think about the difficulty in the thought and not the possibility.

Thoughts of discouragement are very confusing, because we think they are ours, but they are not. These thoughts make us cold even in our relationship and response to God.

Bad thoughts

These thoughts are injections that inflame the passions to push us to transgress and turn away from God.
Thoughts that we know are evil, but we have to take them captive in obedience to Jesus Christ. In other words, when these thoughts of evil come in, we have to take them in prayer to the Presence of God and leave them there.

Let's not allow that thought to openly enter into the house of God that is our life.
