THE CHRISTIAN'S WARDROBE

in #steemchurch6 years ago (edited)

The armor that God has accommodated Christian soldiers is recorded in Ephesians section 6. In versus 11 through 17 Paul brings us into God's armory and two times He says that we are to put on the total armor, not only a piece or two. In truth, the armor is unbreakable. Paul's guidelines are: "Put in general armor of God that you might have the capacity to remain against the wiles of the fallen angel."

(v.11) And," Take up the entire armor of God that you might have the capacity to withstand in the shrewd day, and, having done all, to stand." (v.13) Suiting Up For War In verses 14-17 are recorded six sections of the Christian's armor: "Stand in this manner, having braced your midriff with truth, having put on the breastplate of honorableness, and having shod your feet with the readiness of the good news of peace; most importantly, taking the shield of confidence with which you will have the capacity to extinguish all the red hot darts of the mischievous one.

What's more, take the protective cap of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the expression of God." This armor, to which we are presented, is Jesus Christ Himself! Paul makes that reasonable in Romans 13:14 where he says, "Put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no arrangement for the substance, to gratify its wants."

we have to comprehend this armor so as to figure out how to use, in our Christian fighting, all that Jesus Christ is to us basically. We most likely have heard a few Christians say "Christ is the appropriate response!" Well yes, Christ is the appropriate response, but how is He the appropriate response?

That is the thing that we have to know and that is the thing that this segment of Scripture demonstrates us. Arm Yourselves! The United States military has the most complex weapons of war in presence. What might you think if our military had these weapons, but did not know how to utilize them? They would be pointless and we would be exposed.

God gives us His weapons with the goal that we can effectively oppose the adversary. In this manner, we have to comprehend what weapons we have accessible to us and how to utilize them. What do the different bits of the armor intend to us? In Ephesians 6, Paul gives us a portrayal of each bit of the Armor of God.

Here is the Christian warrior's weapon – would you say you are prepared for this? It might be a shock to some – here is Paul's deadly implement list: Truth Righteousness Salvation Faith the Gospel of Peace the Word of God Confused? Disillusioned? Grateful? Did you anticipate that some cloud will drop out of the sky and shield you from evil plans or expectation that God would give some supernatural spell to be talked against profound adversaries?

That wouldn't occur! "For however we stroll in the substance, we don't war as per the tissue. For the weapons of our fighting are not fleshly but rather forceful in God for pulling down fortifications… ." (2 Cor.10:3, 4) Only as we deliberately use the security of truth, nobility, salvation, confidence, the Gospel of Peace and the Word of God are we equipped for the contention.

This armor covers the Christian's loins, bosom, feet, head and is a total shield to his entire being against any enticement or preliminary he may experience. The fight design is for each Christian, not only a couple of stalwart holy people. Each Christian is a soldier in God's armed force. The Christian was proposed to be associated with this war.

His head is given a cap, for he is to be keen; His heart is secured with a breastplate; His entire nature is ensured by a shield; a sword is accommodated his hand to utilize and shoes with which his feet are shod. Armor we have; we are to be outfitted as well as we are to propel the reason for Christ. We are to do our obligation and God will do His part.

We are not to lie on the lounge chair and watch the fight; we are to play a dynamic part in the battle! The tune, "Go to bat for Jesus" urges us to: "Put on the Gospel armor, Each piece put on with supplication: Where obligation calls or risk, Be never needing there." There is profound fighting being directed surrounding us; kingdoms are in struggle – the Kingdom of Light fights the Kingdom of Darkness.

Christians are subjects of the Kingdom of Light. Paul issues an invitation to battle in Romans 13:12 saying, "The night is far spent, the day is close by. Along these lines let us push off crafted by dimness, and let us put on the armor of light." In the following message we will keep on walking through God's Armory and inspect the Call to Arms in more detail.

Meanwhile know this that: "The battle is on, O Christian soldier, And up close and personal in stern cluster, With armor glimmering, and hues spilling, The good and bad connect today! The battle is on, the trumpet sound is ringing out, The cry "To arms!" is heard a far distance and close to; The Lord of hosts is walking on to triumph, The triumph of the Christ will soon show up."
