Thoughts about Divisions in Homes

I was browsing my feed and came across @simms50 Torah Family commentary from Steve Moutria. Unaware It inspires some thoughts about divisions and the schemes of Satan.

Divisions within Families

Yeshua said that he came with a sword, dividing families... but that's not God's ultimate plan. If the family were united in love and obedient to love God and others, there would be no need for Yeshua to bring division. That is how the enemy divides and conquers - by causing undue enmity within families, so that when believers "choose life" they become severed from ones they should be united with. But it shouldn't be like this.

John the Baptist: The Forerunner

Before the "Great and fearful day of Yehovah", Elijah the prophet shall be sent. I believe Elijah is one of the two witnesses recorded in the Book of Revelation. But before this, God sent John the Baptist in the "Spirit of Elijah" to:

"Restore the hearts of the fathers to the sons and the heart of the sons to their fathers" Malachi 4:6

What does it look like to be restored? Restored in what way? Malachi has already told us:

"Remember the law of Moses, My servant." Malachi 4:4

God sent John the Baptist in the Spirit of Elijah to be a forerunner to Messiah, to be a voice in the wilderness saying:

"Prepare the way of Yehovah! Straighten in the desert a highway for our God!"

And was commissioned with a task, to:

"Make ready a people formed in Yehovah." Luke 1:17

This people are those whose hearts are prepared to receive Messiah, who have repented of their sins and purified being immersed in water... but for those hearts that are hard and unrepentant, their hearts will be purified with FIRE.

And now also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees: therefore every tree which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. Matthew 3:10

Families Cut Asunder and Families at Peace

John was the forerunner to restore families, before Yeshua came with the sword to cut asunder families that are NOT formed in Yehovah, who have FORGOTTEN the law of Moses, whose hearts are NOT restored between father and son.

Do not think I came to cast peace on the earth, not peace but a sword, for I came to set man against his father... the enemies of man are those of his own household. Matthew 10:34-35

But for those who are healed and restored, who are formed in Yehovah, who remember the law of Moses... Then Yeshua brings His peace.

Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. John 14:27

Malachi explains the joy of families who fear the name of Yehovah, who are unified in the Word of Yehovah:

The Sun of righteousness shall radiate to you who fear My Name, and healing is in His wings. And you shall come forth and prance like calves of the stall. Malachi 4:2

The Spirit of Elijah

Before the fearful day of Yehovah comes, may the Spirit of Elijah restore the hearts of fathers to sons and sons to fathers. May households become unified, remembering the law of Moses, becoming formed in Yehovah - then when the Son of Man comes upon the earth He will find faith within households and they will not be cut asunder. But on that fearful day, those within families that are rebellious against the Creator God, shall be taken.

There will be two grinding at the same place; the one shall be taken along, yet the other shall be left. Luke 17:37

Where will they be taken? They are severed from the righteous and be purified with FIRE:

So shall it be at the end of the world: the angels shall come forth, and sever the wicked from among the just, and shall cast them into the furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth. Matthew 13:49-50

May this never be - that a family be separated by the Holy word.

The Sharp Sword of the Word

The Holy and good Word of God brings healing, refreshment, strength, courage and righteousness. It also divides between those who follow the goodness of the Word, and those who rebel against Him. Why "Him"? Because Yeshua is the Word of God made Flesh - Salvation for all those who abide in Him.

For the word of God [is] quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and [is] a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. Hebrews 4:12

There will be believers who are severed by the sharp, two-edged sword of the Word, whose household is cut asunder, for the glory of those faithful.

There is no man that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my sake, and the gospel's, but he shall receive an hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the world to come eternal life. Mark 10:29-30

A Unified Family: A People Formed in Yehovah

The family of faith is determined by those who do the Will of God. On the great and fearful day of Yehovah, all those who are united in Messiah will be family - may our biological families also remain unified.

But [Yeshua] answered and said unto him that told him, "Who is my mother? and who are my brethren?" And he stretched forth his hand toward his disciples, and said, "Behold my mother and my brethren! For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother." Matthew 12:48-50

The Scheme of Satan: Love of the World

When a member of a family comes to faith, decides to seek the Will of God and becomes one with Messiah, it can cause an upset among other members of the biological family who seek the will of the World. The "get in line" mentality. It's not Satan that divides the families, it's the seduction of the world and all it's lusts that causes division. Is the Father of Lies innocent? Not at all, he tickles the ears and deceives people that the world is their trust and salvation. The "system" will save them, whether it's community, government, religion, armies, home-defense, food storage, gold and silver, etc etc. These are all elements of the world which may (or may not) be inherently evil, but are unable to save a soul.

Love not the world, neither the things [that are] in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 1 John 2:15

A family member who no longer seeks the "will of the world" will become at odds with the world. When the music plays, they will not bend the knee to worship the statue. When a law is passed to not pray, they would rather be tossed into the lion's den. When they are forced to eat unclean meat sacrificed to an anti-christ, they would rather die horrific deaths. When they are forced to worship the image of the beast, they would rather loose their head. When put to the test, would we choose God over the world like men of faith?

The world cannot receive [the Spirit of Truth], because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. John 14:17

The Greatest Commandment: Love God with all Your Heart

He didn't tell us to love God with some of our heart, maybe 10% as long as it's tax deductible.

And Yeshua answered him, The first of all the commandments [is], Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord: And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this [is] the first commandment. Mark 12:29-30

Once a family is unified in THIS love, looking towards HIM rather than at each other, then when the Son of Man comes, He will find faith within the entire family, all the members of that family seek the will of God and are a part of the family of Israel, the family of Yeshua.

And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob" Romans 11:26

This is my pray for all families, that they all call upon the name of the Father in Heaven and be saved.
