Steemchurch:LIMITING GOD'S SALVATION

in #steemchurch6 years ago (edited)

But this Man, after He had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down at the right hand of God. For by this one sacrifice, He has perfected forever those who are being sanctified (Hebrews 10: 12, 14)

Salvation is not just having your sins forgiven, or jus being born again, but is a full on going process in our lives till the Saviour appears in the sky to receive us unto Himself. Our salvation would end with our resurrection unto life, with new, incorruptible glorious bodies.
This salvation began when Jesus, the Lamb of God, with His own blood (Lev 17: 11) entered the Most Holy Place in Heaven once for all humanity, and made atonement for sin, obtaining eternal redemption or salvation as a result for us (Heb 9 12). Therefore, Jesus our Saviour, as scripture puts it, is able to save to the uttermost (that is, to that day of the rapture) those who comes to God through Him (Heb 7: 25).
So we who have accepted this perfect salvation of Christ are being saved to the uttermost everyday, by the on going process of sanctification of soul, spirit and body by the Lord (1 Thess 5: 23 -24). Hence we are exhorted to work out our salvation in reverencial fear and trembling (Phil 2: 12), and not neglect it (Heb 2: 3) And one of the ways we neglect our salvation is not to remember the workings of God which brought about this great salvation into being. Thus, we fall into the same error as the people of Israel, who limited God's power this way. "Yes, again and again they tested God and limited the Holy One of Israel. For they remembered not the work of His hand, nor the day when He redeemed them from the power of their oppressors, how He worked His signs in Egypt and His wonders in the region of Zoan (Psalm 78: 41 -43)
Because of this reason, Apostle Paul, prayed for the Christians in Ephesus that they might know and comprehend the width, the length, the height and the depth of God's salvation which He has accomplished in Christ for them (Eph 3: 18).

As redeemed of God, our appropriating the salvation of God is so incomplete, because we are limiting God with our carnal thinking, limited understanding, undisciplined lifestyle, and the rest. We must therefore endeavour from today to fully embrace this great salvation, that we may fully enter into it in our experience and in our daily life by faith. For God's salvation is perfectly perfect and completely complete. It's finished. Hallelujah.
So as you and I go through this last quarter of the year, let us fully enter into and fully appropriate this great salvation in Christ.
May the divine hand of God break this limitation on our comprehension and knowledge and practice of God's salvation and may the Lord bring us into the full experience and realization of the length, width, height and depth of the salvation offered to us in Jesus name. Amen

We cannot lose this great opportunity: "Salvation" as you rightly said, then our stay on this planet would be in vain. To have salvation is like having blood in your system to be able to function normally, if you lose the blood; you lose your life. Thanks for this splendid message, waiting to have more of this kind!
