Steemchurch:REDEEMED BY THE BLOOD

Giving thanks to the Father, who has delivered us out of power of darkness and translated us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, in whom (the Son) we have our redemption, the forgiveness of our sins (Colossians 1: 12 -14)

Redemption means 'to deliver or set free by paying a price'.
The New Testament records the fulfilment of the Old Testament types and prophecies of redemption through the sacrifice of Jesus. Humanity (both Jews and Gentiles) were the subjects of God's redemption because we were 'sold under sin' ( John 8:34, Rom 6: 6; 7: 14) as slaves to our slave master, Satan and under the sentence of death (Ezek 18: 4, Rom 6: 23). Our purchase price is the Blood of the Son of God, who died on the cross in our stead (Gal 3: 13, 1 Peter 1: 18). Jesus paid the price for our redemption with Himself (for the life of a soul is in his blood, Lev 19: 11) and He did it willingly because He loved you, and the truth is that there was no one wealthy enough, holy enough, and pleasing to God enough who could and willing to redeem you. Scriptures testify that God sent His beloved Son to do that on your behalf to demonstrate His righteousness and love for you and Jesus, the Lion of Judah had to prevail over sin, death and Satan to redeem you and I. This redemption delivered us from the dominion of the darkness and transferred us into the dominion of light and life (Col 2: 13 -14).
Apostle Paul reminds the redeemed to give thanks to the Father always because of this redemption. And Peter added to Paul's exhortation by reminding us that we've got be careful how we live our lives, because we were not redeemed with money, dollars or pounds, gold or silver or blood of animal or human sacrifice, but with the precious Blood of the Lamb of God (or the Son of God) without sin, blemish or spot (fault) (1 Peter 1: 17 -19).
Indeed, we are highly loved, favored and blessed because you and I are wealth the Life of God's Son. Glory to God.
So as you go through the day and live life, know and understand your redemption and live worthy of that redemption and for the One who loved you enough to redeem you eternally.
May you truly experience this true grace of God and may this redemption be your portion in Jesus name. Amen
Oh perfect redemption, my soul is at rest. How can we thank you enough, our Father in Heaven? We, the redeemed of God are forever grateful. May we live in the light of this redemption and cause others to experience it themselves. May the fullness of the redemptive work of Jesus manifest daily in our lives in Jesus name. Amen
Let the redeemed of the Lord say so, 'I am redeemed'. Praise the Lord.
