STEEMCHURCH - #Day 1- mattew 5:3 God seeks poor in spirit

in #steemchurch6 years ago (edited)

Good evening, dear brothers, may the peace of God be for each one and the blessings of Heaven be poured out for you in this beautiful day.

Today I want to be part of that beautiful initiative proposed by our beloved aposto @darlenys01 and share my interpretation of the Beatitudes embodied in the scripture by our Lord, I also want to thank our leader @sirknight for encouraging us to learn more about them.

This is why this time I will be sharing with each one of my brothers Matthew 5: 3
Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

The place was a mountain of Galilean Christ wanted to indicate to us that if it is the will of God that man pray in every place and it is also the will that is preached in every place.

Christ begins his sermon with blessing because he came to the world to bless us, each of these blessings were written with a double intention:

  • Show who are the lucky ones.
  • And explain what true happiness consists of.

The word blessed refers to the well-being of those who because of their relationship with Christ and his word receive the kingdom of God that includes his love, his care, his salvation and his daily presence.
This poverty in spirit is the first among the blessings, God recognized humility as virtue and put it first.

There are certain requirements that must be met if you wish to receive the blessings of the kingdom of God

  • The first of these requirements is to be poor in spirit, it must be recognized that nobody is spiritually self-sufficient, everyone needs life the power and the sustaining grace of the Holy Spirit.

When the Lord tells us Happy are the poor in spirit, it is not about that poverty of spirit that instead of blessing is a curse
But poor in spirit is:

  • Everyone who has a poor heart that feels small, beggar, inadequate and always depends at all times on God sofonia 3:12

  • Everyone who does not put in his heart in the riches of this world, that having thus his heart detached from the temporal lives happy as the apostle Paul, both in abundance and in scarcity.

  • Poor in spirit is he who, having riches in this world, is willing as Job to bless God.

  • Poor in spirit is one who has a low concept of himself as the apostle Paul, who despite having all the spiritual gifts was considered less than the least of the apostles and first among sinners.

  • He is the one who has lost all confidence in his own strength and recognizes that it depends entirely on Christ and the power of his spirit.

But he is not poor in spirit that :

  • Greed the riches of this world and envy those who own it.
  • Neither is poverty the lack of humility with which they claim to have many gifts or abilities to serve God or to build the church

Many times as humans we make the mistake of being proud of what we are and what we do, but we must understand that we are nothing and that God is everything. understand that the ambitious of this world will pass like their desires 1jn 2:17 but for the humble, meek and merciful they will obtain the incorruptible glory of the kingdom of heaven. This same happiness is reserved for those who are happy with their poverty.

In conclusion:
The poor in spirit are happy because God always takes care of them and never lacks anything (Psalm 23: 1)
Their happiness makes them understand that theirs is the kingdom of heaven, they enjoy the reign of grace here on earth and then enjoy the kingdom of glory 1 Peter 1: 4.

beautiful message @kenlys poverty of spirit is directly related to the intention of the heart.

amen asi is my dear apostle @darlenys01

when Jesus says, “Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven,” He is talking about a taste of heaven now! Life in this world is a long way from heaven, so in that way can I have a genuine taste of heaven.
Thanks for sharing

we must try to have that poverty in order to acquire that promise of God.

Poor in spirit, you need to depend directly on God in all your needs. It is not with sword or army but with his Holy Spirit. Blessings.
