The first step is ours, the rest is with God!

I can assure you that many people who pass through here have something in their lives that prevents them from reaching God: some sinful habit difficult to be left behind, some resentment saved from which they never got rid, some wound still open in their soul or malignant feelings that they do not know control.

Everyone knows that you have to get rid of such things and it's not always because of lack of intent. Maybe the way you are looking to solve this is not the right one or you do not have the real awareness of what your mistakes are.

I know some people who have an "exemplary" religious life, but fail to see their own shortcomings, only those of others. It is important to recognize our shortcomings and free ourselves from them now, if we want a life with God. How? "Be humbled before the Lord, and he will exalt you." Santiago 4:10

To all these people, I have good news.

The Word of God is very clear when it tells us that it is possible to reach God only through Jesus Christ, who is alive, exactly where you are and ready to hear, forgive, release, heal and strengthen. This is the first rule and it does not work any other way, because it will not turn out well! (John 14: 6 says: "Jesus said to him: I am the way, and the truth and the life, nobody comes to the Father, but by me").

Well, after having understood that only through Jesus is that we can get to the presence of God, the next thing to do, is to take the most important initiative of our lives, which is the renunciation of everything that has prevented us from achieving a more direct and intimate coexistence with the Lord, without the "ghost" of the accusation all the time in our mind.

Who can have an intimacy with God, if his conscience accuses him of something, no matter how minor?

So the Bible says, "Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you" - James 4: 8

It may be that what prevents him from reaching the heart of God is something that he believes to be humanly impossible to solve, but when God sees before him someone who has already done everything, acknowledged his defects, humbled himself, confessed, abandoned sin or He forgave everyone, then The Father does not resist ...
