Persecution Comes With Blessings!

Persecution means to treat cruelly or annoy persistently especially because of race or religious or political beliefs. Most true and faithful Christians will be persecuted as the 'world' hates those that are not of them. Our comfort howver is rooted in the knowledge that God's grace is suuficient for us and that our light afflictions worketh for us a far more exceeding weight of glory. Let us note the following about the Christian persecution.

Matthew 5:10 Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. 5:11 Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.

• Suffering persecution is part of our call as Christians:
  So long as Christ suffered and faced various persecutions, so will we. Christ never promised us a persecution-free live, He only promised that He will see us through them. In fact, any believer that is loved and celebrated by the world must be extremely careful as the world systems and values are diametrically opposed to Godly principles and values.

• Have an attitude of joy towards your persecution for Christ's sake.
  Count it all joy, rejoice and be exceedingly glad. Recall His promises of divine preservation and be resolute. Do not be scared of persecution as fear breaks the hedge and usually results in compromise and sin.

• You will be rewarded bountifully by God for every persecution you endure for Christ's sake.
  The reward will begin in this life, here on earth and continue gloriously in heaven. The Bible says God will 'settle you' and give you a far more exceeding weight of glory.

Not all persecution will be rewarded. The only persecution that will be rewarded are those suffered for Christ's sake. Be a good ambassador of Christ, live a life that will bring glory to God, endure hardness and passionately preach the message of Jesus.
