A life with God!!

My dear brothers, can you remember how famous the next verse is?

So, if someone is in Christ, a new creature is: old things have already happened: behold, everything has become new. II to Corinthians 5:17.

And Enoch walked with God: and he saw no more, because God took him for himself. Genesis 5:24

A life with God.

How many times, these verses of the Word of God have served as support for the messages, affirming that the Christian, who accepts Jesus in his heart, is a new creature: is not he more of himself?

But it was not by chance that it was written, so we can observe and reflect on this great mystery that conveys to us the great love of God.

It is the most credible. In someone else we find a similar love, to the point of giving his only Son to die in our place.

Through the creative Word of God, those who accepted Jesus Christ by faith, became new creatures, belonging, (not partially, but totally) to God. We become part of his people, where the Holy Spirit reigns.

The Apostle leaves a sublime exhortation, saying:

"But you did not learn Christ that way, if you have heard it and in it you have been taught, as is the truth in Jesus, who, in the past deal, you deprive yourselves of the old man, who is corrupted by lusts of deceit, and they renew you in the spirit of your sense, and you review yourselves of the new man, who according to God is believed in true justice and holiness.Gálatas 4: 20-21-22-23-24.

In man, there are good and bad habits: habits that can steal peace, trust and even sleep. Revolt gestures.

But the genuine Christian, the one who was born again, became a new creature. Renewed according to the likeness of God. That he shares his glory, that he experiences the renewal of knowledge and understanding and that he lives in holiness.

Why?

"For God, who said that out of darkness light shone, is who shone in our hearts, to illuminate the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ." II to Corinthians 4: 6.

Before we lived in darkness, (that is, without knowledge of our true identity as adopted children), but God, in his infinite mercy, offered His best, His Son Jesus, so that the veil that separated us was torn and did not separate anymore. , transporting us to the Kingdom of its wonderful light.

Through the sacrifice of Jesus, of his death and resurrection, the veil that separated us from the Eternal God was torn and now we have complete access to the Father.

We now have, as written, a new identity:

"But you (NOW) are the chosen generation, the royal priesthood, the holy nation, the acquired people, so that you proclaim the virtues of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light." I of Peter 2: 9

Beloved, when we give our lives to Christ, as we have heard this Sunday by the servant of God, we begin a new life. God begins a new work in us, placing a Seed of all that He is, in the depths of our being and, at the same time, placed in our hearts the desire and the goodness to do good.

Of course, that change demands a delivery. The Word of God teaches us that new struggles will arise, and this starting with our own flesh. When the Bible speaks of our flesh, it refers to our own desires that we involuntarily practice, the fruit of our old nature:

Bad attitudes, selfishness, quarrels, anger, fear, resentment, lust, dependencies and everything that leads us to sin.

What needs to be done?

First. It is vital to feed our spirit. When we listen to the Word of God, through reading, preaching and prayer, we spend time talking with God and our spirit is renewed. Attend regularly to the teaching of the Word of God, is an essential stimulus for a spiritual, rich and blessed life. Little by little, we receive the vitality that ends up fighting the desires of our flesh.

Secondly. When we are faced with decisions to make, the question is imposed: Am I cooperating with God or doing my will?

Our families, because of religiosity and often lack of knowledge, are a second obstacle that we must learn to deal with and lead at the feet of the Lord.

But each one, regardless of the choice or opinions, will give an account of himself.

If we live a life too concentrated in our personal point of view, obeying our desires and motivations, without reasons based on the truth, we end up living a life devoid of God: an inevitable defeat.

But if we choose a life according to his will. A life in which our goal is to cooperate with Him and be a blessing for those around us, we will discover that joy and a peace that is unknown there.

However repetitive we are in relation to this matter of the nature of the new creature in Christ, in which we are transformed into conversion, it will never be too much, in view of the importance of having this duly recorded and remembered in our minds.
