Small seeds, big fruits

The seeds, in general, are discrete in their shape, color and size. They do not usually attract attention. When they are sown then, they disappear into the ground, as if they did not exist. However, over time, and in the most absolute silence, his implacable power manifests life for the perpetuation of his species. The seed becomes a plant that is born, grows, throws roots, stems, branches, leaves, flowers and fruits. These are usually colorful and attractive, carrying in their interior new and numerous seeds.

All this, in addition to portraying the reality of vegetables, illustrates in a perfect way various aspects of human life, both for good and for evil.

Our words, attitudes and actions are seeds, often discrete or even secret.

You can hide your seeds and think that they are dead and buried, but the fruits will be numerous and can not be hidden. Hidden seeds, fruits revealed. Is this good or bad? It will depend on the seeds we select, according to the choices we made. The seed of man, for example, can be hidden in women, but pregnancy manifests its existence to the world. The same happens with sin, which can be hidden or discreetly started, with a message, a connection, a contact, but, once germinated, it triggers a series of multiplied fruits that will not be hidden, despite all efforts. It was like that with David, when he sinned with Bateseba. "The sins of some men are manifested before entering into judgment, while those of others are discovered later, in the same way also good works are manifested in advance, and those that are not can not be hidden" (1Tm. 5.24-25).

Good seeds too, even if they are imperceptible or invisible and devalued, will produce abundant fruits that will be seen by all.

Again, let us look at Paul's words to Timothy: "Let no one despise your youth, but let it be an example to the faithful in word, in procedure, in love, in faith, in purity. apply to reading, to exhortation, and to teaching, do not neglect the gift that is in you, which was given to you by prophecy, with the imposition of the hands of the presbyter. May your progress be manifest to all "(1Tm.4.12-15). they will produce abundant fruits that will be seen by all.

The good and the evil done discreetly will be rewarded in public (Mt.6.1-6,18). It is what happens to the athlete. Their negligence or dedication in particular training determines their performance and recognition in competitions. The good fruits, by all seen and admired, will cause envy in those who did not see the sacrifice of sowing.

In short, we choose our seeds well, we are dedicated to the Lord and our harvest will be blessed.
