The best choice you can make!

in #steemchurch5 years ago

Greetings to all our friends and parishioners of the SteemChurch!

How many times today have you decided something? 2 ... 3 ... 5? Well, I think since your uprising you have been doing that. After all, he decided to get up, decided to drink coffee, bathe and do what he had to do. Until then nothing abnormal. You continue making decisions. You go to school / university / work, do what you have to do and go home. Then, every decision you make ... EI! I waited! Is all this a decision? Stop and think ... Are the same decisions? According to the dictionary the word decision means resolution; determination; sentence.

What have you decided in your life?

The decision leads to a change in relation to something, and that happens when we have understanding. The Bible shows us several people who made decisions. But I want to highlight 4 young people here.

"Then the king ordered Aspenaz, the chief of the officers of his court, who brought some of the Israelites of the royal family and the nobility: young people without physical defect, of good appearance, educated, intelligent, who dominated the various fields of knowledge and were trained to serve in the king's palace. (...) Among them were some who came from Judah: Daniel (Beltessazar), Hananiah (Shadrach), Mishael (Meshach) and Azariah (Abed-nego) . "Dn 1: 3-4,6

These men were all excellent young men, as the Bible itself speaks, and the king took care to look after his appearance and designated a daily portion of food and wine from his own table to be strong and healthy (v 5). "Daniel, however, decided not to become unclean with the king's food and wine (...)" (v.8). Daniel knew that all his strength and health came from God, so he decided to eat only vegetables and water with the other 3 young people. Verse 15 says that "they seemed healthier and stronger than all the young men who ate the food of the king's table." Daniel decided not to become impure to remain separated from God. Another decision taken by the young is when King Nebuchadnezzar made a 27m high gold image and 2m and 70cm wide, raising it in the province of Babylon, and decreeing that EVERYBODY should bow down and worship the image of gold, and who out against the decree would be thrown into a burning furnace. Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego decided not to worship the image and were decreed to the oven.

"Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego answered the king, O Nebuchadnezzar, we need not defend ourselves before you: if we are cast into the burning furnace, the God to whom we worship may deliver us, and he will deliver us out of your hands, O king. But if it does not free us, know, oh king, that we will not serve to worship their gods or worship the golden statue that has sent erect "Dan. 3: 16-18.

The king was enraged and ordered to throw them into the oven. But then they were unharmed. Another notable decision was when the king (now Darius) decreed that no one could pray to God in a period of 30 days. So Daniel knew, he went to his room to pray as usual. The king found out and ordered to play Daniel in the lion's hole. So it was. But the next day, he appeared unharmed. All these decisions reflected what they believed. It reflects that it was not a choice to serve God, but a decision! It was true, without doubt, without uncertainty, without a half term ...

It was that and ready! And there was nothing that was an obstacle. They did not negotiate their decisions. They always decided for God!

God bless you!
