Here is a masterful study of the word of God, looking for parishioners with a heart thirsting for God, eager to reach at least the boundaries of his ways, and know the depth of his love for sinners and the heights of his majesty.
Who can imagine David writing the twenty-third psalm in a noisy office
commercial, or a mystic of the middle ages finding inspiration on the second floor of a house
of neighborhood in a crowded modern city?
Where the paths of life cross
and there are cries of races and clans
in ants of vice and misery
where the shadows are full of terrors
and lust and avidity are hidden.
