Jesus teaches a parable where he makes clear some things we need to understand, God has given talents to all people and expects us to do something useful with them, also reward or punish according to how we administer them.

"For the kingdom of heaven is like a man who, going far away, called his servants and gave them his goods: one gave five talents, and another two, and another one, each according to his ability; It was far.

And he who had received five talents went and negotiated with them, and gained another five talents. Likewise the one who had received two, also won two others. But he who had received one went and dug in the earth, and hid the money of his lord.

After a long time the lord of those servants came and arranged accounts with them. And when he that had received five talents came, he brought other five talents, saying, Lord, you delivered to me five talents; here you are, I have gained another five talents on them. And his lord said to him: Well, good and faithful servant; you have been faithful over a little, I will set you much; enter into the joy of your lord.

And he who had received two talents also came and said, Lord, you have delivered two talents to me; here you are, I have gained two other talents on them. His lord said to him: Well, good and faithful servant; you have been faithful over a little, I will set you much; enter into the joy of your lord. But the one who had received a talent also came, and said: Lord, I knew you that you are a hard man, that you reap where you did not sow and pick up where you did not scatter; for which reason I was afraid, and I went and hid your talent on earth; here you have what is yours.

Responding his master, he said: Bad and negligent servant, you knew that I pick up where I did not sow, and that I pick up where I did not scatter. Therefore, you should have given my money to the bankers, and when I came, I would have received what is mine with the interests. Take away the talent, then, and give it to the one who has ten talents.

Because whoever has, will be given, and will have more; and whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken away from him. And cast the worthless servant into the outer darkness; there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. "Matthew 25: 14-30

Although in the Old Testament talent was a unit of measure of weight used among Jews, Greeks and Babylonians, the word "talent" is often used figuratively. So talents should be understood primarily as supernatural gifts conferred by the Holy Spirit.

Hence the double intention in explaining Jesus this message to his people, because even though it was truly a coin it also represents a gift. According to the account, he divided money among his servants according to his abilities. Although the faithful servants knew what to do with what had been given to them, there was one who did not want to leave his occupations to serve his master. This man only thought of himself. He wanted to avoid risks to protect himself, even losing what little he had.

Can you identify yourself among any of these servants?

The Lord will come to settle accounts with each one of us to know what we have done with the investment capital that he has deposited in us. All the servants had the capacity to receive the talents that their master gave them. Likewise God has given us talents and abilities to all, and we will have
to answer for them

"But all these things are done by one and the same Spirit, distributing to each one in particular as He wants." - 1 Corinthians 12:11, emphasis added

"Each according to the gift he has received, minister it to others, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God." 1 Peter 4: 1O, emphasis added

In the world we live in, it is not easy to increase initial capital. Those who have made a fortune with little money, are now authors of great-selling books. In each of them they teach us the growth and development strategies of their companies. But the Lord in His Word gave us the spiritual techniques to develop the gifts that He has sown in our life to its fullest potential.

Through the Bible we observe occasions when God uses donkeys. Personally, I am very grateful to Him who knows how to use donkeys. I do not know what your capacity is or where you define the donkey line, excellent donkey, inferior donkey, top donkey; but I do know that a man who has a spirit of gratitude says: "Lord, thank you for the talent you gave me."

Surely that person will try to get the most out of the talent that was delivered to him. Some live lamenting: "Lord, why did you give the talent to him, and I do not have it? Lord, how is it that you make acceptance of people? Could it be that when I reached the line of talents it was over? ? " We have all been given talents.

If you have a talent, you can turn it into two. Now, this is the incredible thing. You convert it into two. Many are waiting for the Lord to multiply their talent. But in truth it is God who is waiting for you, faithful servant, to multiply it. Maybe you believe that you do not have enough capacity to work the talent that God has entrusted to you.

But let me tell you the story of a 10-year-old girl who taught me a "Lesson for the heart." Sara was born without the muscle of one of her feet, for that reason she used a device to mobilize all the time. He came home from school and told his mother that he had participated in the school competition sports races.

Because of the support that held her leg, her mother began to think quickly about something to say to give courage and encourage Sara. What things could her mother say that would not discourage her?

But before she could say a word, the girl said: "Mom, I won two races! I could not believe it!" He added: "But I had an advantage" Her mother thought: - I was sure that would happen, they should have let her out first than the others ".

But once again, before she could respond, the girl added: "Mommy, they did not let me out first, but my advantage was having to try harder than the others."

What a tremendous story! But it is good to know that even those who believe that they do not have the necessary talent to develop, can try it with more strength and enthusiasm, and I assure you that they will achieve it.
