We will assume that you travel on a cruise and while traveling in the middle of the sea, you fall off the boat and are left behind alone in the waters of the sea. You are left alone and without hope of being saved. While you are alone, a fishing boat suddenly approaches and a bow is thrown at you along with a life preserver. You grab the lasso along with the lifebuoy and tie yourself so that you can be pulled into the fishing boat. The men grab him and manage to put him in the boat, finally saving him. The question is, how were you saved? Through grace, undeserved favor from fishermen? OR
Was it through the boat where the fishermen were? What about the tie and the lifebuoy? Were they necessary for salvation? And what about the efforts you made to be able to grab the loop and put the life jacket around you to be able to be put into the boat? Could you, for a moment, say that you saved yourself? Would you not appreciate the grace and favor of the fishermen (without whom you could not have been saved) in helping him to be saved by their grace? Would not you recognize that he was not saved by grace alone? There are many variable elements, which
they are involved in the event of salvation. This includes the will of man and his action. After all, the person can reject salvation. He can refuse to accept the tie and the life preserver and insist on drowning. Therefore, if man can reject salvation by his own actions, then in order to receive salvation, man's action is necessary.

This is the grace of God in the Scriptures. Without the grace of God we humans could not hope to be saved. But at the same time, the will of man and his action [obedience] are essential to be able to take advantage of the grace of God and finally be saved. The grace of God consists in sending His only Son to die on the cross of Calvary in order to be the propitiation for our sins (1 John 2: 2). But, the grace of God, demands that man respond to that grace by believing in Christ, repenting of his sins, confessing Christ as the Son of God and being baptized to obtain the forgiveness of sins. After this fidelity helps us to be able to maintain ourselves in God's favor, that is, in His grace

Paul in Ephesians 2: 8-9 says "For it is by grace you have been saved through faith; and this not of yourselves, it is the gift of God, not by works so that no one can boast. " The grace of God is a reference to everything He has done for us, that is, to send His only Son to die on the cross of Calvary, and everything that has to do with the plan of redemption that God has made available for the salvation of man The word "faith" is a reference to the answer, which we human beings, make to the grace of God, without thinking that we deserve our salvation. Therefore, "Grace" includes everything that God has done for us and "faith" includes everything that man does in order to respond to the grace of God and in this way receive the salvation found in Christ Jesus.

If the person is saved by "grace alone" we ask the question, Why was it necessary for Peter to say repent and be baptized each of you in Acts 2:38? If there is nothing to do, to repent and be baptized. However, repentance and baptism are commandments that the grace of God demands from every human being.

The Grace of our God is not only essential for our salvation, but also our protection. The Bible says that hard times will come when wanting to do the will of God, and when these difficult times come, it is when we need the Grace of God to overcome the enemy and be able to come out more than victors. The Grace of God promises us salvation, protection and help in difficult times.
