HE IS WHO GIVES YOU GOOD IN ABUNDANCE.

"Man," replied Jesus, "who appointed me judge or arbitrator among you? Be careful! He warned the people. Abstain from all greed; the life of a person does not depend on the abundance of the goods that he owns ». Luke 12: 14-15.

"To have". Word that is gestated in the very center of human selfishness. We are all looking for goods, especially materials. Some of us work to obtain them, others, however, do it based on fraud.
Is it wrong to wish to have material goods? Of course not. What is not right is that we make that our priority and we are willing to pay whatever price, even going above our values and principles.

The Lord will give you an abundance of goods in the fruit of your body, in the young of your livestock and in the products of your soil, of the land that he gives you, because this is what I swear to your parents. Deuteronomy 28:11

God is committed to His word, and the principles and promises that He has been willing to fulfill. Promises like your provision, abundance and superabundance, are waiting to be claimed by all of your Sons. God wants to give you the best. But the best is not what we necessarily want, God has not committed to give you everything you want, God promised to provide everything necessary to fulfill our purpose on earth, to do his will.

God wants us to honor him with our mind, with our heart and with our things. We must remember that everything we have comes from God. Everything we have we have because it has pleased Him.

When we have the understanding that God is the one who gives us everything, it is unthinkable not to honor him with everything we have, in fact everything we have is not even ours, it is his, we only serve as administrators of everything he has put to our care.

A very serious problem nowadays is that we live in an absolutely materialistic society. We give value to our life, and to that of others, according to the quantity and quality of things we have. Our cell phone model, the brand of our shoes, the model of our car or the logo on the shirt we wear; We have put our value on things. This has led us to put things themselves in a place of pre-eminence in our lives.

God knows what we need, and He as a father wants to solve that need, but what we need is very different from what we want. We have come to confuse God's provision and abundance with having everything our eyes desire. Christians have become as materialistic and superficial as if we did not know at all the much more valuable things that God has given us, as Jesus said in Matthew 6: 25 "Is not life more than food and the body more What about the dress? "

The question is: Will you honor God with that material you want, or is it just a selfish desire? The first step to abundance is to honor God with our goods.

The Lord has promised to fill us with goods and material goods are also included here. He does not want his children to live miserably, desiring to have many things and harboring resentment towards those who possess them or towards God himself for not granting them. When we are prey to misery, we feel that we are short of everything and put the justice of God into question.
In the granaries of heaven there are many goods for the children of God; sometimes we do not receive them because the priorities are not correctly placed in our life; The Lord tells us: "Seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and these things will be added to you" (Luke 12: 3). In the expression "these things" are included food, housing, footwear, clothing, and so on.

Putting the kingdom of God first means being faithful in the return of our tithes and giving in giving our offerings. When we do not fulfill these divine requirements, we put a brake on God's generosity and stop receiving what we expect. This is not a revenge on the part of the Lord, on the contrary, it is an act of mercy. God does not benefit from our money, the only beneficiaries are us.

"Honor the Lord with all your goods, and with the first fruits of all your fruits; and your barns shall be filled with plenty, and your vats shall overflow with new wine "Proverbs 3: 9-10

Material things are useful to us and certainly a financial stability is something totally desirable, but things will never be our happiness or our peace.

"I said in my heart: Come now, I will prove you with joy, and you will enjoy goods. But behold, this was also vanity. "Ecclesiastes 2: 1

The author of Ecclesiastes had wealth more than any other, but after desiring everything material that his eyes saw and possessing, he knew that things are not the most important thing in life.

Friend, surely today you will look in your portfolio for the resources for daily sustenance; in doing so, remember that you must use them responsibly. But above all things seek the goods that do not perish, those that will make you a better person and a good Christian. The Lord's promise to you on this day is: "Honor the Lord with all your riches ... so your barns will be filled to bursting and your cellars will overflow with new wine" (Prov 3:10).
