An Encounter will Change your Life Part 7

1Jn 1:1 That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life;

1Jn 1:2 (For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us;)
1Jn 1:3 That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.
1Jn 1:4 And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full.

I took this photo the other day. It is a reflection. This is what we are to be. A reflection of Christ as we gaze upon Him we will better represent Him each day.

We can see from this series that God has always desired an encounter with mankind. He walked in the cool of the day with. Adam. What Adam lost for man was completely recovered by Jesus. Recovered by Jesus and made even better as the New Covenant is built on better promises. Through Jesus we have access to the Holy of Holies. He is our High Priest amd if we are born again, we are the temple of the Holy Spirit. We have the bread of His Presence. We have the ability to be continually cleansed by the blood of Jesus. We can see Him, although through a glass darkly. As we gaze upon Him we are changed into His likeness. This is what true worship produces. The character of Christ in us! Christ in you the hope of glory. What I love about God is He is no respecter of persons. What He did for one, He will do for all. It is up to the believer to believe. It is up to the believer to seek. It is up to the believer to ask. It is up to the believer to provide the hunger and thirst.

We are to reflect Jesus!
The invitation is to all but the Unbelieving, the religious, the self righteous or proud will never see Him without repentance.

1Co 13:12 For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.

2Co 3:17 Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.
2Co 3:18 But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord

We are to behold the Lord! We are to see His Glory!
What Great neglected promises!
We can see Him and know Him.
Not just know about Him, but to know Him.

We, as believers can all see Him!

There is an old saying that a picture is worth a thousand words. The Bible is thousands of words that in its entirety speaks of the Living Word Jesus Christ. These thousands of words paint a portrait of Christ

I have seen Him, have you?

Seeing Him

  • Takes away every fear
  • Takes away every doubt
  • Removes all worry
  • Humbles us.
  • Created the fear of the Lord which is the beginning of wisdom
  • Increases our faith
  • Changes us to be more like Him.

This is part 7 of a series.
Thank you for staying by,
Daddy William
