Jesus said of Himslef that He was the Bread. He was the Manna in the wilderness and even the shewbread represents Him the Bread of Life, the Word of God

Obvious but I will mention THEOS is where we get the word “theology”, the study of God.

I like it look at several translations while reading a verse. Look at what a couple of the versions say.

(ASV) For the bread of God is that which cometh down out of heaven, and giveth life unto the world.

(Darby) For the bread of God is he who comes down out of heaven and gives life to the world.

(LITV) For the bread of God is He coming down out of Heaven and giving life to the world.

When we look at the context we can see he is not speaking of just Bread, but God sending bread or even God Himself being the Bread

Joh 6:31 Our fathers did eat manna in the desert; as it is written, He gave them bread from heaven to eat.
Joh 6:32 Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Moses gave you not that bread from heaven; but my Father giveth you the true bread from heaven.
Joh 6:33 For the bread of God is he which cometh down from heaven, and giveth life unto the world.

Then Jesus shifts from Bread of God to the “Bread of Life” Speaking Clearly of Himself

Joh 6:34 Then said they unto him, Lord, evermore give us this bread.
Joh 6:35 And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.
