Psa 110:4 The LORD hath sworn, and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek.

Melchizedek was a type of Christ pointing towards Jesus from the Old Testament writings. King is Salem meaning Peace King! As Jesus is the Prince of Peace. Also Melchizedek was both Priest and King. Jesus was and is both Priest and King. The other point is in the verse above from the psalms He is said to be Priest forever. There is only one Eternal Priest and that is Jesus our Eternal High Priest

Heb 5:5 So also Christ glorified not himself to be made an high priest; but he that said unto him, Thou art my Son, to day have I begotten thee.
Heb 5:6 As he saith also in another place, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.

Heb 5:9 And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him;
Heb 5:10 Called of God an high priest after the order of Melchisedec.

Heb 7:1 For this Melchisedec, king of Salem, priest of the most high God, who met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings, and blessed him;
