Many times the Bible will repeat the exact same thought but in a different manner all in the same verse or context. It is a type of poetic writing seen throughout the Bible. This could be what this is here. It is obvious from the context of the verse that “Judge, Lawgiver and King” all refer to God. They could all be taken in uniquely different ways, or we can see a similarity of all three in one thought.

We cannot make the mistake and get the idea that this Lawgiver, Judge or King is even close to being like the ones seen on earth. Man’s system of laws sometimes lets the guilty go free and the innocent is punished. We see in politics where the law seems to ignore the crimes of the politicians and then, at the same time the little guy seems to be punished too harshly. Lawyers are being paid a high price, not really for the truth to come out, but that their client is not punished.

Here sometimes a Judge is Jury can be paid off. Witnesses can lie and loopholes in the law can be found.

We will all face the Judge, Lawgiver and King

Heb 9:27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:

His Laws are Perfect! He is the Creator! He Created the Heavens the Earth and every living thing. We answer to Him

“He Will Save Us”

I like how this text verse ends. “He Will Save Us”

Isa 33:22 For the LORD is our judge, the LORD is our lawgiver, the LORD is our king; he will save us.

Jesus Our Lawyer

Luk 1:74 That he would grant unto us, that we being delivered out of the hand of our enemies might serve him without fear,
Luk 1:75 In holiness and righteousness before him, all the days of our life.
Luk 1:76 And thou, child, shalt be called the prophet of the Highest: for thou shalt go before the face of the Lord to prepare his ways;
Luk 1:77 To give knowledge of salvation unto his people by the remission of their sins,

1Jn 2:1 My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:

My Thoughts

On Judgement Day all of the books will be perfectly balanced. Every cruel act will be punished. Every rape, hate crime, genocide, child abuse, abortion will be righteously punished. Every person, politician or not is not above the law of this Lawgiver and Judge. The Standard of this law are so high! There is only One Person that truly passed the test and kept this Law and the standards of the Lawgiver and Judge. His Name is Jesus. Every last one of us have fallen short of this high standard. In the end, there will be two categories of people. The guilty and the guilty whose sins are forgiven.

2Co 5:19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.
2Co 5:20 Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.
2Co 5:21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
