Simplicity of the Gospel

It is our responsibility to seek God out for ourselves. We cannot rely on others to teach us and follow blindly what some pastor, prophet, teacher apostle or evangelist proposes as the truth.

In the verse below we can see that many times the man of God is in the vicinity of Jesus (our Beloved), but not where He is.

We are living in a time of much deception!

• So many doctrines!
• So many claiming a corner on some special revelation!
• So many claiming to be the only true church!
• So many claiming to be right and everyone else is wrong!

We cannot approach God like we are at a restaurant choosing from a menu of what we like. We must approach God the way He says. There is no other way! It is simple...it is clear in His Word (The Holy Bible).

Why not close the door to those outside, open the bible, ask God to reveal Himself to you? Stay there, or keep coming back until you really find Him and are found by Him? Make sure you are on the right road! Make sure you are teaching your kids the correct path! What a tragedy it would be to find out on Judgment Day, that you were responsible for leading your family down the wrong path and you are at fault they are not in heaven.

The Apostle Paul called it the "Simplicity of the Gospel".
No need to comprehend Greek or Hebrew. The need is to know Jesus and follow Him!

Son 3:1 By night on my bed I sought him whom my soul loveth: I sought him, but I found him not.
Son 3:2 I will rise now, and go about the city in the streets, and in the broad ways I will seek him whom my soul loveth: I sought him, but I found him not.
Son 3:3 The watchmen that go about the city found me: to whom I said, Saw ye him whom my soul loveth?
Son 3:4 It was but a little that I passed from them, but I found him whom my soul loveth: I held him, and would not let him go,

2Co 11:3 But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.

Deu 4:29 But if from thence thou shalt seek the LORD thy God, thou shalt find him, if thou seek him with all thy heart and with all thy soul.

Many are following doctrines of men and demons.

Doctrines of men is the “gospel according you” or the “gospel according to some other person, but it has no biblical basis”.

Doctrines of men is when we decide what part of the Bible we are going to believe and which part are we going to avoid or not believe. Like in a restaurant we decide we want corn but not the ochre.

(MKJV) so that we no longer may be infants, tossed to and fro and carried about by every wind of doctrine, in the dishonesty of men, in cunning craftiness, to the wiles of deceit.

Mat 15:8 This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me.
Mat 15:9 But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.

The doctrines of men are your own preferential doctrine with no basis in God’s Word. God says if we worship Him in this manner our worship is useless and in vain.

This is why Jesus said, “The Father seeks after those who will worship him in Spirit and in Truth.

Col 2:22 Which all are to perish with the using;) after the commandments and doctrines of men?

Heb 13:8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.
Heb 13:9 Be not carried about with divers and strange doctrines

Doctrines of demons

Demonically inspired teachings. Seduced but with a lie or partial truth.

1Ti 4:1 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;
1Ti 4:2 Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;

This doctrines of demons is one of the signs of the last days.

Every writer of the New Testament warned of such and specifically in the teachings of Jesus.

False prophets, messiahs, teachers, teachings, doctrines. Angels of darkness posing as angels of light.
Good sounding, nice to the ears, non confrontational, appeals to the flesh doctrines. “Tickling our itchy ears”.

2Ti 4:3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
2Ti 4:4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

Whatever we hear, no matter who says it, we must go back to the Bible and see if, what was said, fully agrees with God’s Word.

His Word is a light to our path and a lamp to our feet,

Our greatest defense against deception is to know God’s Word for ourselves.

The Word of God is easy to understand. The plan of salvation is super simple.

• If what you read can be taken literally, then take it literally.
• If you cant find the Early church practicing it, it is probably one of the fad teachings.
• The Greatest Teacher is the Holy Spirit.

I see fire carpets, fire anointing oil, oil taken from the carpet of some revival in Nicaragua, oils that keep the Jezebel spirit away. So much hokey, non biblical crazy, manipulative and fad teachings and practices. All foolish!

The Simplicity of the Gospel

Mat 4:19 And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.
Mat 4:20 And they straightway left their nets, and followed him.

Following Jesus. Following His teachings. He appointed Apostles plus Paul called to be an Apostle. Follow their teachings. No new teaching that contradicts what these have said is valid. God is not a God of confusion.

Requirements

You, your bible and the Holy Spirit.

A humble and teachable heart.
What I have noticed over the years is that the people that have taken this approach to God’s Word, all pretty much believe the same things. I have travelled to 36 countries and have always found believers with the same foundation of Truth as the others and as myself.

God has appointed genuine teachers of His Word. But we still have the responsibility to compare what they said with what has already been said in the Word.
