As we go through and begin to put into practice the 7 different types of prayer, please don’t forget that the best part is that you are having Communion with God. In this series of studies, we are on the 6th type of prayer on our list. The prayer of a watchman. This type of prayer concerns and effects regions and nations and even the entire world

Some People are specifically called to be a Watchman, but as believers we are all called to this capacity in some measure. We win as each part does its part.

On the Homefront

As we go through our day with our family, there are sometimes we notice something undesirable beginning to take place. Rebellion in our children, peculiar behavior from our spouse. Things we see with our natural eye and intuition. But we can also see an attack on our family before it even happens, while we pray. Many watchmen are also Intercessors and the watchmen begin to stand in the gap and win a battle before it even becomes a problem.

THE WATCHMEN ARE WATCHING WITH THEIR NATURAL AND SPIRITUAL EYES.

Your Neighborhood, City, State or Region

You May see Drug Dealers begin to travel your street. They may be building a bar or strip joint close to where you work or live. You notice young girls selling their bodies in a certain area of your town. You notice gangs or hear of shootings. Also as you pray, with your spiritual understanding, you may sense an attack of the enemy in your region. Lawmakers may be making new laws legalizing what God calls an abomination.

IT IS TIMES LIKE THIS THAT THE WATCHMEN SHOULD PRAY

Your Country, The World, Things Concerning Israel

The Watchmen are looking at World events. Not as a hobby, curiosity or self interest, but as an A
Ambassador of God. As a person who knows how to pray and does pray world changing hell shaking prayer. The Watchmen don’t sleep when the rest are sleeping. The Watchmen don’t slow down, take a rest, back off or relent until they see with their own eyes God’s Kingdom established in the seemingly impossible places.

Elijah the Watchman

Many Watchmen also walk in the Prophetic.

“The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.
Jas 5:17 Elias was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months.
Jas 5:18 And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth brought forth her fruit.”

Elijah confronted the prophets of Baal. Elijah, Prophet, Watchman, Intercessor

You see God has always chose to work with His people concerning the things of the earth. While we are waiting on God, God is waiting on us to step up, Believe and do His Word.

Isa 52:8 Thy watchmen shall lift up the voice; with the voice together shall they sing: for they shall see eye to eye, when the LORD shall bring again Zion.
