How do we see things?

Dear friends of Steemit, I am going to share a very interesting Christian Preach and that perhaps has happened to us very often as it is: How do we see things? There is a popular saying that says: Everyone sees things according to the glass with which they look.

Very true sometimes we hear and see: things, news, information, comments and facts, and when we meet several people to talk about it, we notice that everyone says or thinks of the same fact, thousands of: interpretations, conjectures and determinations, It seems incredible that in the end it would seem that there were several different incidents based on just one, and sometimes what everyone says is not at all like what really happened.

For that reason, I describe this Preach, documented by Jose Hernandez that will be very elusive to our daily reality, I hope you like it and allow clarification, and maybe reflect on something that we may not have taken into account in similar situations:

Christian Preaching

The other day something happened in my work that caught my attention. It turns out that an incident occurred and when an investigation was started, several of the alleged witnesses gave different versions of what they had seen.

This is not a very unusual thing, since according to our point of view, some of us look at some things and the others escape us. It is very similar to when a group of people meet, and a message is given to a person so that that person can tell others.

The problem is that when the message finally reaches the last person, it has been distorted in such a way that it almost does not resemble the original message; this is because we listen and interpret things our way.

Below are some passages of the word of God that will make us reflect on the way we see things, and the way we interpret situations. Let's now turn to the word of God.

Numbers 13: 25-33 - And they came back from recognizing the earth at the end of forty days. 26 And they went and came to Moses and to Aaron, and to all the congregation of the sons of Israel, in the wilderness of Paran, in Kadesh, and gave the information to them and to the whole congregation, and showed them the fruit of the ground. 27 And they told them, saying, We came to the land to which you sent us, which certainly flows with milk and honey; and this is the fruit of it. 28 But the people who dwell in that land are strong, and the cities are very large and fortified; and we also saw the sons of Anac there. 29 The Amalekites dwell in the Negev, and the Hittites, the Jebusites, and the Amorites live in the mountains, and the Canaanites live by the sea, and by the banks of the Jordan. 30 Then Caleb silenced the people before Moses, and said, Let us go up and take possession of it; because more we can than them. 31 But the men that went up with him said, We can not go up against that people, because they are stronger than we are. 32 And they spoke evil among the children of Israel, of the land which they had recognized, saying, The land through which we passed to acknowledge it is a land that swallows up its inhabitants; and all the people that we saw in the middle of it are men of great stature. 33 Also we saw there giants, children of Anac, race of the giants, and we were, in our opinion, like locusts; and that is how we looked to them.

To have a better understanding of the message today, it will be necessary for us to know a little of what is happening. In other words we will have to review a bit of history.

Here we have the people of Israel who were liberated from the hands of Pharaoh after approximately 430 years of slavery. God used Moses to set them free, and they all saw great signs of a living God.

They witnessed all the plagues and crossed the Red Sea without having to get wet or use a ship. They had heard Word of God through Moses and they knew that he was leading them to the promised land.

They knew that God had liberated them and that He had promised them a land that flowed with milk and honey. Why do I do this recount? I give you this account because it is necessary for us to realize that they knew exactly where they were going, it is necessary that we know that they knew the promises of God.

With this in mind then we come to this point in history. Moses led them through the desert to the border of the land that God had promised them and here we see that he then sent these men to go and recognize the territory. This is where the problem begins.

As I told you at the beginning, all of us see things in different ways. These men who went to recognize the territory gave a good report to Moses, they confirmed that the earth was indeed good, that it was fertile, (verse 27), but the problem begins because they looked more at the inhabitants than at the promise of God, (verses 28-29).

God had freed them from slavery to make them a great nation to serve as an example in the world. God wanted to bless this people, but because of their little faith and trust in God they did not receive the blessing immediately.

They did not focus on the promises of God, they preferred not to trust in His power, they focused on what they saw and their weaknesses (verse 31). As a result, this town walked in the desert for a total of forty years. I want us to think about this for a few moments.

I want us to analyze what happened to them and compare it with what happens to us today. What happened to this town is not very different from what happens to us today.

On many occasions we behave just like this town. God wanted this people to serve as a blessing to the world, God wanted them to be the example to follow, but they did not trust in God. They only noticed that the earth contained a large number of inhabitants, cities with fortified walls and giants that inhabit it.

I ask you, does this exist in our lives today? I can tell you with confidence that yes. There are many people who do what the people of Israel did right now.

There are many people who, instead of concentrating on God's promises, instead of concentrating on His power, concentrate on situations and remove their gaze from God; Once we do this then our faith wavers and we begin to succumb to temptation and rebellion.

It is just like when we hear people say that God does not speak to them. This is something that I have heard on more than one occasion by numerous people. But the reality of the case is that God speaks to us, perhaps not with the voice of a trumpet, not with a great noise, but God speaks to us through his Word.

God speaks to us through brothers and sisters, God speaks to us at all times, but many of us do not hear him. The main reason is because, like this people, we stop trusting in Him. We trust more in our abilities than in God's strength.

This was the case of this people, when they recognized the land they did not see the blessing, they only saw the negative. When they recognized this land they did not trust that the same God who had freed them from the hands of Pharaoh, (Exodus 3:17), that the same God who had promised them this earth would give them to them, they only saw their weaknesses. The result of their actions was that they rebelled against God.

The source of information was taken:

Interesting we think our dear readers, sometimes we just talk, act, make decisions, judge, trust more in our: skills, rebellion, selfishness and arrogance away from our faith and promises to God, rebelling against him. We have to reflect before acting and making determinations about situations, people and things, since, if we think and trust more in what only we believe things are, without inquiring, trusting and having faith in existing convictions, views different and reliable that only lead us to the right, fair, honest and real way, always trusting in God that the actions and results to obtain are those shown by him.
