Make love your priority!
Community of @steemchurch! Love must be paramount in your life.
If you want your life to progress, you must be focused. You must understand that you do not have time to do everything and that not everything has the same value. In this sense, it is important to analyze the first commandments of God.
The first and greatest of the commandments is: "Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength and with all your mind." (Luke, chapter 10 v.27). The second commandment is: Love your neighbor as yourself.
The Bible is very clear about this. We are on earth to fulfill these two commandments: love God and love our neighbor. And life gives us the opportunity to put into practice this great lesson that represents love. Life is not about acquisition, personal fulfillment, the realization of big projects ... because all this, you will leave it behind; You will not bring your career to heaven, your car, or your home. God has given you life on earth so you can learn to love. Actually, life is a school to learn about love, and that is why you need to make love your number one priority.
Of course, everyone knows that love is something important, even vital; but we often forget it. Other things distract our lives and our priorities become buying a house, having a good career ... but in this verse, Jesus reminds us that the number one priority in life is love. He shows us that love should be our main goal, our greatest ambition, the goal of our life.
More than anything, we must learn to be a person who loves God and loves his neighbor.
The Bible teaches us four reasons why love is more important than anything else.
Love shows that I am a child of God.
Love makes you strong. You can focus your life around many principles. But the only thing that will allow you to overcome difficulties, overcome adversity, is love. There can be tribulations, problems, earthquakes, hurricanes, you will always be standing if you have love in your heart.
Love covers my sin. What matters most to God is the love we have for Him and for our neighbor.
Love resounds forever. It means that love echoes to eternity. In fact, it is the only thing in your life that will last. Everything else is temporary. Every time you sow love, you will reap the fruit when you are in heaven.
What a man did during his life, the house he lived in, the car he was driving, the work he did ... all this will be forgotten. What we will remember about this man is the love he had in his heart, the love he showed to those around him. Nothing you do on this earth is permanent. Everything is temporary.
The Bible says that a life without love is an empty life. To live a life without love is to waste it. A person can achieve anything he wants in his life, if he has no love, it is useless.
Nothing can take the place of love. And when you understand that, you have to put things in order. Make your relationship with those you love return to the heart of your priorities. Take the time to go to the movies with them, bring them to eat in the restaurant, show them your love with gifts, bouquets of flowers. Put your relationship with God back at the center of your life, take the time of your day to meet with him, pray, read the Bible.
Focus your life on what is truly important: love God with all our heart and love your neighbor. That's why we have to make love our number one priority.
