POWER~

Text : John 8:1-3

John 8:1 Jesus went unto the mount of Olives. 8:2 And early in the morning he came again into the temple, and all the people came unto him; and he sat down, and taught them. 8:3 And the scribes and Pharisees brought unto him a woman taken in adultery; and when they had set her in the midst,

As we can see in this bible passage, the bible says that Jesus went unto the mount of olives. Here are the questions that could got us thinking.

The question now is why did he go there? What is he doing there? Why must he go there?

He went to the mount of olives to do what,i believe he went there to gather strength(power) for the next day who knows if he prayed in the holy ghost till the next day without sleeping. One important thing about our Lord Jesus Christ is that, after the healing, miracle, signs and wonders during the day at night he always go to the mountain to pray.

Now we Christians want to carry the power of God, But we are not willing to sacrifice anything. We need to always stay in the presence of God in order to receive strength and or power for the next day. Just like what Jesus did according to our bible text (John 8:1).

If you should read downward you will see that Jesus went through a lot that day. If he had not tarried he won't have carried the power to go through does trials,temptations and so on. We are now in a generation who talks about men of God that carries power But we can't do what they did to carry and or receive the power. Many of us here are gifted in receiving revelation, but without prayer the revelation will be useless.

The ability to tarry is what will give birth to the power you ve been seeking. You ve received impartation from all the powerful men of God in the world But you got nothing to show for it you know why? The answer is that;

You are too lazy to tarry

it has often been said that a tarrier is a carrier

What does that tells you. It means that if you pray in church for 400hrs without separating yourself just like Jesus did you can't receive anything. Sir,ma the power has been released long time ago. And it is still available. Butyou ve to believe in order to receive. According to John 14:12.

If you cannot sacrifice you are not entitled to anything. Are you not tired of just going for evangelism and nothing is happening? It has become a norm to the people in the world when they see us they already know what we want to say. We are in the time of power (Joel 2:28-29).

We say hello sir good afternoon sir,i just want to let you know that Jesus loves you he is the only that can save you...and so on.....!

But the bible says in 1 Corinthians 4:20

This kingdom of God is not only in words but with what?

POWER

When we speak it should be with Power & Authority. This should be our identity, because we have freely receive it from Christ through baptism of Holy Spirit. All of the words that came out of the mouth of Jesus was with power. We need a general that is hunger and thirsty for this power, Of a truth it won't be easy But God assured us that we can do all things through him. All we need to do is to draw strength from above.

Am sorry to tell you this, If you are asking for bread just like you did in 2018. God will not answer. Why? Because He is tired of giving you all that cause it is killing you.

The bible says the flesh profiteth nothing.

Yes it is good to eat, but at the same time it is killing us ...not adding to us,subtracting from us. It's the Spirit that quickens. Am sure many of us would said that this year I want to cut out things that won't add value to your life also Cut anything that won't add value to your spiritual life.

Romans 8:6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.

Stay away from carnal things It kills it destroys...how ,it is a gradual process. We ve been asking for the wrong thing all this while I want to open our eyes to the things we should be asking.

Luke 11:9 And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you. 11:10 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. 11:11 If a son shall ask bread of any of you that is a father, will he give him a stone? or if he ask a fish, will he for a fish give him a serpent? 11:12 Or if he shall ask an egg, will he offer him a scorpion? 11:13 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?

But what is He telling us to ask him?

Luke 11:13

If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?

• Ask:- we can see Jesus expect us to ask for the holy spirit. Because He knows how important it is to our life. And there is no way you will ask for it and you won't receive. How do I know this ....the scripture says so in.

Acts 1:8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

• You want to perform signs and wonders you need the holy Spirit.

• You want to be led you need the holy spirit

• You want to do the unusual you need the holy spirit

• You don't want to be normal you need the holy spirit

NB It is not possible for you to have the Holy spirit and be normal.

You head will begin to touch for him. When I mean touch I mean 🔥 touch. Men of Spirit ways are usually different to the way of a carnal man. You need to be angry in your spirit. This year is not a year of bread and butter it is a year of power.

Finally, >Luke 4:1 And Jesus being full of the Holy Ghost returned from Jordan, and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness,

You need the fullness of the Holy Ghost to operate in another realm. Without the Holy Ghost you can't be led, Which means you cannot become the sons and daughters of God. As many that are led by the spirit of God are what? The sons of God.
