CHRISTIANS: THE WORLD GRAPHIC THAT PEOPLE WATCH AND READ

Peace be unto you all Parishioners of Steemchurch. It is my pleasure sharing with you on the title "Christians: the World Graphic that people watch and read."

2 CORINTHIANS 3:2(KJV)

"Ye are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read of all men:
For as much as ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the spirit of the living God, not in the tables of stone, but in the fleshy tables of the heart."

The word "Epistle" was been explained in the Longman Dictionary as: 'One of the letters written by the first Christians which are in the New Testament of the Bible. Or a long and important letter.

In some Bibles, they used "letter" instead of "Epistle." But I have chosen "Graphic" to represent Epistle and Letter that the Bible used. Because, in this modern era Graphics are commonly sold on our roads side that people who always pass by get access to watch and read. They do not just read, but they add meanings and interpretations to those Graphics. When you read a graphic you would want to get the import or detail of the content so that you draw your conclusion.

Apostle Paul was asking the Corinthians in 2Con.(3:1) that "Are we beginning to commend ourselves again? Or do we need, as some do, letters of recommendation to you, or from you"?

So, you yourselves are the letters of recommendation, that people passing by see you, watch you and read about you.

I must emphasize that Christians are the "Front Page of the Graphic" that people see us quickly and read on our Characters whether good or bad.

Why am I saying that Christians are the front page of the graphic that people see us quickly and read on our characters? Because, Christians are group of people who expose themselves most to the public. For example, as we pass by going to church people see us, in the church we make noise with the instruments so people see us, on our crusade ground people see us, on our house to house evangelism people see us, preaching on radio and televisions people see us. Through all those ways, people watch Christians characters and finally do their recommendation whether we possess good characters or bad characters.

What Bad Characters Do People Read On Some Of Us As Christians
Many of Christians characters are very bad and are seen on the face of people who do not follow Christ. The saddest part of it is that most of Christians mingle with people who have accepted that they do not follow Christ, and put up these bad characters. So we cannot differentiate between 'Christians' and 'Non-Christians in this context.
Some of these bad characters are:

• Gossiping
• Fornication
• Adultery
• Armed robbery/stealing
• Indecent dressing
• Jealousy
• Anger
• Division
  And others that I cannot mention all in this article. Such bad deeds draw us back as Christians. These behavious that Galantians ascribe it to be the work of the flesh in Galanthians 5:19-21. Verse21b:"I warn you, as warned you before, that those who do such things will no inherit the Kingdom of God."

Therefore, Apostle Paul admonishes us again that we should live in holiness as Christians, in the Book of Romans:

ROMANS 12:1
"I appeal to you therefore, brothers the mercies of God, to present your bodies as living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship."
For Christ is on the door steps of our hearts, He loves us, so lets all open Him:
REVELATIONS 3:20
"Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he with me."

Christians we are the followers of Christ, that is why we call ourselves Christians. So lets all wear the full armour of Christ, so that we will to be in captivity of the devil. Amen!!!
