Hello Parishioners, greetings to you all.... This is another day God has made, lets be glad and rejoice!

JOHN 21:15-17

"When they had finished breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter, "Simon, son of John, do you love me more than these?" He said to him "Yes, Lord; you know that I love you." He said to him, "Feed my lambs."
He said to him a second time, "Simon, son of John, do you love me?" He said to him, "Yes, Lord; you know that I love you." He said to him, Tend my sheep."
He said to him the third time, "Simon, son of John, do you love me?" Peter was grieved because he said to him the third time, "Do you love me?" And he said to him, "Lord, you know everything; you know that I love you." Jesus said to him, "Feed my sheep."

Beloved, love is the greatest treasure that everybody seek to have as Christians. Indeed is the greatest among the commandment that God gave to us. A Christian that lacks love, his Christianity is not complete.

MATTHEW 22:37-39

" And said to him, "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.
This is the greatest and first commandment.
And the second is like it: You shall love your neighbour as yourself."

Someone who loves is always caring, kind, humble, meek, selfless, discipline, faithful or honest. Love is not arrogant, ... It does not search for its own interest, but search for others interest too. Jesus Christ is the first being who showed us an unprecedented love, in spirit with God but revealed himself as human and died to cleanse our sins. What a caring and selfless love from our savior Jesus Christ? The meaning underscoring love is that, someone who loves has completed following the laws.

Just before Jesus left this earth, He instructed Simon Peter to care for the dearest object of His love- His sheep. How could one care for them as Jesus cares? Only out of love for Him. There is no other way.
Three times Jesus asked Peter, " Do you love Me?" Peter answered, "Yes Lord; You know that I love You." Each time, Jesus answered, "Feed My sheep."
Was Jesus unaware of Peter's love? Of course not. His three fold question was not for Himself, but for Peter. He asked His questions to underscore the essential truth that only love for Christ would sustain Peter in the work that lay ahead-that arduous, demanding work of caring for people's souls- perhaps the hardest work of all.
Jesus did not asked Peter if he loved His sheep, but if he loved Jesus Christ. Affection for God's people in itself will not sustain us. His sheep can be unresponsive, unappreciative, and harshly critical of our efforts to love and to serve them. In the end , we will find ourselves defeated and discouraged.
The "love of Christ"- our love for Him-is only sufficient motivation that will enable us to stay the course, to continue to feed the flock of God. Jesus is asking you and me, Do you love Me?

There are many flock at the gate which have lost their ways and do not know where they going. Even they hungry for the spiritual food, but who are to to direct them in search for food? As Christians brothers and Sisters we deem it a great task to feed them and direct their ways to Christ. We have received enough salvation and spiritual food and their burdens are our burdens. May be we were like them, and by the grace if God were drawn to Christ so lets help them , coach them and pull them may be they will reform. Lets remember that when we were young our parents wore our dresses for us, because we were very young to wear.

JOHN 21:18

" Truly, truly, I say to you when you were young, you used to dress yourself and walk wherever you wanted, but when you are old, you will stretch out your hands, and another will dress you and carry you to where you do not want to go."

As the words of God says: rescue the perishing, care for the dyeing, tell them that Jesus Christ is able to save. Parishioners are there to feed the flock of Jesus, we should take care of these flock and surely we will be rewarded.

Amen. The greatest form of love is that which we show towards God. And that is in most part exercised by our love for those around us. If we love him, we will love the brethren and if we love the brethren, we will feed them with the word of God.
