For everyone looks out for their own interests, not those of Jesus Christ. But you know that Timothy has proved himself, because as a son with his father he has served with me in the work of the gospel. I hope, therefore, to send him as soon as I see how things go with me. And I am confident in the Lord that I myself will come soon.(Philippians 2:19-24NIV)
Beloved in Christ Jesus, don't let us look for our own interest, but should also strive and look for the interest of Jesus Christ too. Having Apostle Paul as our senior and pioneer mentor, who effectively devoted himself for Jesus Christ. We can show our interests in so many fields of worshipping God. Looking for the interest of Christ with our time, money, strength and wisdom would effectively promote God's work.
It sometimes sad to see that many Christians do not pay proper attention to the promotion of the name of Jesus Christ. Our jobs and the ways of getting money are what matters us most; we have made those things become our priority at the expense the interest of Jesus Christ. Lets note that all that we are seriously searching for will be in vain if we do not have Jesus Christ in our lives. The greatest gift we can have is to have Jesus Christ in our lives.
