SEEK GOD AND HE WILL ALSO SEEK YOU !!!

PSALM 9:9-10 (NIV)

"The Lord is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble. Those who know your name trust in you, for you, Lord, have never forsaken those who seek you."

Beloved in Christ God is good all the time. He always make thing easy and beautiful for us. It is really true that He is our refuge for any troubles in life as the Book of Psalmist put it. In no circumstance that God has forsaken us in times of difficulties. He said call me in the days of your troubles and I will respond and help you. We need to know God well by trusting and obeying him.

We still remain where we are since we do not seek him. We still complain since we do not seek him. We still cry over our troubles and difficult situation since we do not seek him with good heart. But those who seek him with a good heart give testimonies that God is good. I will therefore define Seeking GOD as the way of obeying GOD laws. When we obey what GOD expects from us as the Bible says then it means we have sought him.

Jeremiah 29:13-14(NIV)

You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. I will be found by you,” declares the Lord, “and will bring you back from captivity. I will gather you from all the nations and places where I have banished you,"declares the Lord, “and will bring you back to the place from which I carried you into exile.”

Even if you are in captivity GOD Almighty will search for you in midst of the nation where you are and rescue you. Even if you were banished because of some disobedient attitude shown, in as much as you repent and tend to our LORD GOD with good heart He will deliver you. The only thing is to seek him that is obey and follow the laws that He has given us.

Which laws are talking about here? The laws that God gave to us through Moses- The Ten Commandments. This laws have also revealed severally in most of the Scriptures in the New Testaments, of which Jesus Christ also confirmed when He was teaching his Disciples about the first and second greatest of the commandments that Moses gave us:

Matthew 22:36-40 (NIV)

“Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?” Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”

The most greatest of all the commandments that we should seek God on are the above two laws that the Book of Matthew reveals to us. If you really love GOD and your neighbour, there is no way you will disobey the commandment that says that "do not commit adultery", there is no way that you will not honor your father and thou mother in the LORD, there is no way that you shall murder, there is no way that you shall steal your friend's sheep or goat, neither will you give false testimony against your neighbour!(Exodus 20:117)

If we really seek God around these two greatest laws among the Ten Commandments, we will be able to complete obeying the rest of the laws stated above and GOD will also seek you all the time whether you are in difficulties or not. GOD never fails in his promises and that is one thing we should take note of it. Let's try to seek GOD all the time, not only when we are in troubles, but even when we are free from the wicked. Be blessed in your days of seeking GOD who is on our side all the time, Amen!
