The dispersion of isrrael.
"Your sons and your daughters will be handed over to another people, and your eyes will see it, and they will faint for them all day long, and there will be no strength in your hand.The fruit of your land and all your labor will eat people who will not you have known, and you will be nothing but oppressed and broken every day, and you will go mad because of what you see with your eyes, Jehovah will strike you with an evil pustule on the knees and on the legs, from the sole of your foot to your crown. that you may be healed, the Lord will bring you, and the king whom you have set over you, to a nation that you have not known, neither you nor your fathers, and there you shall serve other gods, wood and stone, and you shall be a cause of horror, and you shall serve as a proverb and a mockery to all the peoples to whom Jehovah will take you."
This must be the Babylonian captivity, which is now a fact in history. We will learn from this later in our study of the Bible, where we will read more prophecies about this in Jeremiah, and then, in fact, we will see it happen. The historical record of the captivity is found in the books of the Kings and Chronicles. The fact is that the army of the Chaldeans drew the eyes of the last king Zedekiah. His children were slaughtered in front of him, and then his eyes were taken out. We see how this literally fulfills verse 32. King Zedekiah was taken blind to the Babylonian captivity.
Now, why did all this happen to you? It was because of his disobedience. God had given them the conditions. He had told them that if they obeyed, they would be blessed. But if they disobeyed, they would be punished.
Now, Israel returned from the Babylonian captivity. There was a return to the promised land. And we see this in the books of Ezra and Nehemiah. The prophets Haggai, Zechariah and Malachi spoke of his return to earth. This, then, was the second prophecy that they would be banished from the earth because of their disobedience, but they would return. That prophecy has been fulfilled literally.
The third dispersion of Israel would take place after they were conquered by Rome. This dispersion was described prophetically.

God has promised to deliver his people: Despite the terrors of that time, liberation is assured. No matter how big the attack against the Jewish people is, God promises to preserve them. He will never break His promise to Abraham: And I will establish my covenant between me and you, and your descendants after you in their generations, for an everlasting covenant, to be your God, and that of your offspring after you. (Genesis 17: 7) Therefore, Israel returned from the Babylonian captivity. There was a return to the promised land.
