All believers must recognize that a life filled with the Holy Spirit must be saturated with Purity and holiness. Even Jesus himself could not work miracles, because of people's disbelief.

But in the Book of Acts chapter 5:12 things were different Believers spent much more time for worship and teaching meetings. There were already many to continue to congregate in the upper room. So they were forced to make Solomon's portico in the temple headquarters.

The believers were all unanimous. The closer they got to the Lord, the closer they got to each other. They were one in Christ, in Spirit, in love, in purpose and in the desire to see the multitudes accepting Christ as Savior.

The apostles surrendered without reserve to Christ and the Holy Spirit and made use of their faith by laying hands on the sick. In other words the apostles put their hands on the sick but it was the Lord who healed them. The result of this was that large crowds believed in the Lord and were added to the church, that is, they became part of the body of Christ. This shows us that, as it happened in the ministry of Jesus, salvation and holiness were two inseparable aspects in the evangelistic ministry of the apostles.

At first, it is true that they had personally witnessed all that Jesus did. Especially Peter was a very important figure of this revival. Even his shadow was used by God for the healing of the sick. But we can assure you that this apostle did not dedicate himself to walking around healing with his shadow. It seems that he consecrated himself to the proclamation of the gospel message with passion. When the sick were healed in his path, all he did was to announce that this was another manifestation of the power and sovereignty of Jesus Christ. We should note, moreover, that all who came from other cities to Jerusalem were healed, both the sick and those who were possessed of demons. This was a period of tremendous impact and effectiveness in the spread of the gospel.

As we move forward in reading the book of Acts we realize that there were other periods of miracles in the evangelistic ministry. One of them took place in Ephesus where God worked great wonders at the hands of the Apostle Paul.

But besides that, there were many more occasions in which the power of God manifested itself in miracles of various kinds, especially when the gospel was being introduced in new places. Another thing that is seen is that the Lord used many lay believers for the realization of Miracles, just as Jesus had promised.

The belief in miracles is not a universal thing at present. Many oppose this based on the idea that the world handles itself, and that God does not exercise any dominant function in them, they claim that it is not possible for miracles to happen because they go against natural laws. But the truth is that on the one hand this is a theory based on mere human assumptions; and on the other hand, the same natural laws are the work of a God who has never ceased to be Sovereign.

He did not say that the miracles of casting out demons, speaking in tongues, being delivered from deadly things and healing the sick would be restricted only to the apostles or other ministerial leaders. This powerful ministry was entrusted by the Lord to the whole church. There is not a single passage that teaches or suggests that such miracles would cease when the Apostles ceased to exist. Evangelization today faces the same or greater Satanic forces, and unbelief is more intense today than ever. The church, therefore, needs to make use of the same or greater faith than that of the early Christians. We all must wait with faith for the Lord to use us for the manifestation of Signs and Wonders as He has always done.
