Peace of God is that rest, calmness and that sense of quietness that God gives to His children. It is that comfort He gives to them even in the midst of trials and afflictions.
In reacting to this, Jesus began to say:
John 14:27 KJV
Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
Peace Received and Peace Given
Now, Jesus upon His departure told His
disciples that He will leave His peace with them and equally give His peace unto them.
It follows from His very words that there are two kind of peace here: the one that is left with you or you received (at the point of salvation) and the one that is given subsequently.
In this study, our emphasis shall be on the peace given subsequently which is quite different from the one we received at salvation (reconciliation with God, through accepting Christ Jesus into our hearts (peace with God) previously treated).
Jesus promised His disciples to give them peace.
The promised peace was meant to comfort them. And to this He said: I will not leave you comfortabless.I will come to you John 14:18. The Personality of the Holy Spirit is termed as Comforter. He is the giver of comfort to the children of God.
In buttressing this, Jesus began to say:
John 14:26 KJV
But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

The Comforter (which is the Holy Spirit) gives comfort, and this comfort is peace. Thus, the peace of God is given by the instance of the Holy Ghost upon us. That is, when we receive the Holy Ghost, then; we have received the peace of God.
And to this, Apostle Paul began to say:
Philippians 1:2 KJV
Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.
What the prophet was saying is that it is the grace of God (peace with God through the blood of Christ Jesus) that enables us to get the peace of or from God - the Holy Spirit. God is willing to give you peace.
This is a peace that flows within you as a result of the indwelling of the Holy Spirit.
Having said such, it is imperative we look at another dimension of peace given subsequently. Now, to adequately understand the peace given; we shall look at the words of Apostle Paul, which buttresses that of Christ:
2 Thessalonians 3:16 KJV
Now the Lord of peace himself give you peace always by all means. The Lord be with you all.
See, the essence of the Lord of peace — the Holy
Spirit, is to ensure your continuous peace. There are two key words here: "always" and "by all means". The residing of the Holy Spirit in us is to guarantee an "always" peace.
However, this "always' peace is procured by all means'. By all means", we mean the way and manner we function in or experience this peace of God. It could be through the means of the word and worship. Glory!
Dear, the peace of God is what keeps you calm during turbulent times. God is willing that we dwell abundant}y in peace. He wants His peace to overflow our hearts. This is made possible when the Holy Spirit recedes in us (always) and when we imbibe His word, give ourselves to worship (by all means).
Apostle Paul added:
Philippians 4:7 KJV
And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
This is the peace that cannot be explained. It s the peace that manifest amidst all olds. It is the peace even in the midst of trials, temptations, turmoil and afflictions. it is that peace (attention) in the midst of tension.
Honey, this is the kind of peace that God had promised to give to you. And it is coming to you now as you begin to it Glory!
We have said the peace of God is received at the instance of the Holy Spirit. That is to say, when we receive the Comforter (the Holy Spirit), then; we have received comfort or the peace of God.
However, to live in comfort or peace with yoursetf is more than having the Comforter which is the Holy Spirit This is where activating the peace of God comes in.
The point being made is that you may have the Comforter and not be comfortable. That is, you may have the Holy Spirit, the carrier of peace, and yet not live a life of peace. There is every possibility for the peace of God, which is a virtue of the Holy Spirit in you, to be dormant. That is, the peace of God from the Holy Spirit can be inactive.
Now, in activating the peace of God; we have to look at peace beyond a gift from the Holy Spirit, but as a fruit of the Spirit Thus, being a gift, it is obtained, while being a fruit, it is attained. That is, our effort is not required as a gift but much more required as a fruit.
See, there is a nexus between the gift of peace and the fruit of peace, both from the Spirit. The point being made is that the gift of the Holy Spirit equals the gift of peace; however, for that peace to flow ceaselessly upon you, then you need to develop it.

There is no other place that you can seek true peace only on the blood of Jesus.... true peace comes only when you are save from your life of sin.
It is one of the most amazing and wonderful and sweetest things in the Bible to realize that just hours before Jesus was crucified he was concerned for the peace and the joy and the faith of his followers. Think of it. He is about to be tortured to death with one of the most horrific means of torture ever devised, and his burden was to solidify in the souls of his followers peace and joy and faith.
What would we be doing if we knew that we would not only be killed tomorrow, but tortured for who knows how long? My guess is we would be desperate to find our own peace, and our own joy and our own faith. We would probably not be pouring out our concern for the peace and joy and faith of our friends and family unless Jesus had filled us with his peace and joy and faith, so we were free to think of others.
Even Jesus always heralded peace, so also does the holy spirit that's why the symbol of the spirit looks like a dove.
The blessing of the holy spirit, is what truly signifies peace in the life of a Christian, that's why we must desire and hunger for the the gift of the spirit which will bring the peace we desire so much in life.
God is great. God bringeth peace. When our cause is set on him, indeed God peace will be with you. But you need to be save from your life of sins by confessing your sin to God., ask him for forgiveness and forsake their sins. If you are save from your life of sin, God peace will be with you.

The only true peace one can experience is the peace christ has given us. It is much more better than the peace of this world. He said "my peace i give unto you, not has the world giveth". May we all experience this peace in christ Jesus.

Indeed, even Jesus constantly proclaimed peace, so likewise does the heavenly soul that is the reason the image of the soul resembles a pigeon.
The gift of the heavenly soul, is the thing that really means peace in the life of a Christian, that is the reason we should want and strive after the endowment of the soul which will bring the peace we want such a great amount throughout everyday life.
