When we talk about poverty, it does not necessarily refer to the way of life that a person can live on a daily basis, nor for the goods that he or she gets, it also refers to spiritual poverty. For God It is not a matter of money, but of heart as a condition to be accepted by Him. When this last condition prevails, God pours out in abundance blessings, where nothing will be missing that could disturb the peace of the Christian who acts under the acceptance
of the God of armies.

Many Christians associate that material poverty is a way to be close to God, I believe that this condition that the person assumes is how to justify the means, that is, he is cowardly, he is not enterprising, he is satisfied with little, he is manageable and of course he lacks of true faith. God does not want us with shortcomings, He gives bread, clothing, homes, vehicles, trips, and even gives you the computer to give you good use, others, and all this is named PAPA GOD who covers us with

Matthew 5: 3: "Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven."

In the Bible, Matthew refers to poverty as a spiritualized term. The poor in spirit are those who are aware of their spiritual need and recognize that the only one who can satisfy them is God. The poor in spirit are blessed because theirs is the kingdom of heaven. It is interesting to note that the kingdom of heaven is not for the self-sufficient, nor for those who promote themselves, nor for those who believe they are righteous, the kingdom of heaven is for the humble of heart, for those who voluntarily decide to abandon everything. effort from themselves to enter heaven and fully embrace what God in Christ can do for them. It is evident here that what the world considers as a weakness, this being poor in spirit, for God on the other hand is a virtue and that is why God says that he is blessed or happy or super happy, all poor in spirit.

Luke 6:21
Blessed are ye that hunger now, for ye shall be filled. Blessed are you who weep now, for you shall laugh.

Luke in a material and real sense, presents to the poor in spirit those people chosen by God to prepare the way, land of Jesus in his passage through the earth and carry his message throughout the world. It describes above all those who do not have the means of this world as the beggar, the marginal and thirdly it designates people who have no influence or prestige and who can only put their trust in God
The use of the terms rich and poor in Luke goes beyond the designation of economic circumstances to designate a condition of impotence and exclusion, or of power and privilege. The visit of God through the prophet Jesus will turn these conditions around; the excluded will be called to salvation and those who now enjoy acceptance will be rejected. In the Lucan narrative the poor, sinners and publicans are those who give a positive response to the prophet, while the rich, the Pharisees and leaders reject it.

In the Beatitudes of Luke we see how the poor, rejected by men, are going to be accepted and welcomed by God. On the other hand, the rich have already had their consolation (as opposed to those who still expect it), they are sure of themselves and have a good reputation, and as a consequence they end up rejecting the kingdom that God offers.

2 Corinthians 8: 9
For you already know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, who for love of you became poor, being rich, so that with your poverty you would be enriched.

Here is talking about the Lord Jesus, how He left everything out of love for us and became poor while being rich. There is no one richer than HE, but he left everything, was born in a manger, that way with his poverty we can be enriched.

We can realize that the only one who can give us wealth in an extraordinary way, like nobody else, is the Lord Jesus and that wealth is a wealth of salvation, when it seems that we have nothing, we have everything through salvation of the Lord Jesus Christ.

God tells us that in our lives we must do certain things so as not to be poor, such as:

  • To work
  • You have to share.
  • You have to listen to good advice.
  • You have to have good friends.
  • You do not have to be a miser.
  • We must give to the needy.
  • You have to live on what is necessary.
  • Give thank God for everything.

WE MUST WORK FOR THE GLORY OF GOD
