Even death cannot stop the help of God. - @Uyobong

Many times, the carnal nature of humans tend to constrain man in his thoughts, words and action to the limitations of the now! The operations of the ordinary man gets limited to what he knows, where he reaches, those he has, things he possess and what he believes. At extremes, the ordinary man in his limitedness also attempt to limit the unlimtedness and infiteness of God. However, this should not be the case of the New Creation Man.

Sometimes in 2016, precisely,January 6, God showed up in my hopeless situation and I named Him -"EL-INFINITUM", "JEHOVAH UNLIMITED". Beyond every doubt, God proved to me that he loves ,me more than I can measure, assume, detect. He reminded me that the heights, depths and widths of God's love cannot be fathomed by any human understanding.

The unlimitedness of God shows Him as a transcendent, which simply means that He is exceedingly far above creation and is both greater than creation and independent of it. This implies that God is far above what we know Him to be or do. If He doesn't reveal Himself, we would never have a glimpse of whom He is. Amazingly, He keeps revealing Himself on a daily basis for as many who will open up to knowing Him through the written word (the Bible) and Living Word (Jesus Christ). Thus, we have the privilege of understanding the infinite God even in our limited state.

Again, the infiniteness of God shows that God exists outside of and is not limited by time or space. He is simply without limits and terms as omniscience, omnipotence and omnipresence are contextual.

The Omniscient God

Omniscience means that God is all-knowing. This also mean that God has unlimited knowledge. This unconstrained knowledge qualifies Him as the sovereign ruler, Chief and Best Judge over His people and all of creation thereby having a will that is perfect. This character of God makes Him read the intents of our hearts when our mouths have not spoken and he hears our cry even without tears falling from our eyes. In 1 John 3: 20, Bible says:

God is greater than our heart, and he knows everything.

This is why I need not worry over anything. If He owns us and is our Father, then He knows everything we're going through. Even when we go through trials and temptations, He knows. He knows . He knows

The Omnipotent God

The Omnipotent nature of God imply that God is all-powerful. He is all-mighty and His power cannot be measured. Since He is unlimited in knowledge, He then would do the best of His will. Nothing can stop God from fulfilling the intents of his thoughts. He does what pleases Him and owns all the power. The omnipotent nature of God qualifies Him to do all things and nothing is impossible for Him. He can change every situation though He Himself is unchangeable. In 1 Peter 5: 11, Peter made this confession:

For all power belongs to God, now and forever. Amen.

One thing God has spoken, two things I have heard: "Power belongs to you, God - Psalm 62 11

The Omnipresent God

This nature of God makes him an ALWAYS PRESENT GOD. He is everywhere. When the times are good or not, when our needs are met or not, He remains God. Even in the darkest of caves and tunnel, He remains God and He sees. No space can confine Him. He is eternal in time and space. He was, He is and will ever be God. When nothing was, He was. Indeed, without Him, no time and space would be. He has no beginning neither does He have an end. In Revelations 1 verse 8, God says:

I am the Alpha [beginning] and the Omega [end] and the First and the Last.”

“…the same yesterday, today, and forever.” Hebrews 13:8

WHY THE ABOVE LONG STORY

The need for taking out time to explain the infiniteness and unlimitedness of God is to help us come to terms and understanding of His ability and love which is immeasurable. Sometimes, we wallow in our place of despair because we fail to know how unlimited God is in being, time, power and space.

In John 11: 1 -44, there is a story of a family who knew the lord Jesus, yet, they lost their brother. In the limited thoughts and ability of man, there was no way out. The family were meant to endure perpetual tears and pain of separation. However, the infiniteness of God was revealed. Below is a recap of the faith-filled declaration of woman who belived in the unlimitedness of God:

But I know, that even now, whatsoever thou wilt ask of God, God will give it thee. John 11: 22

Before now, we have been conditioned to see Martha the brother of Lazarus as a carnal lady who will always want to entertain Christ at the expense of the word. Is this why God approved her name in the scriptures for generations to learn? Certainly no! Verse 22 of the eleventh chapter of John gospel reveals the uncommon understanding and faith of Martha as she saw Jesus reaching their house after three (3) days of Lazarus’ death.

Such expressions by Martha would not let the Lord go. lo! Lazarus was brought back to life because the unlimited God was there. You can get such testimony if you believe.

REFLECTION

God is unlimited ! Don't limit Him in your believe!
