I believe TLOS, HEARTs and Acorn Blessings Heal the DEPRESSED? A Call to Spread the Goodnews
News and stories I read in the very early hours of today seemed to have cut-short my long-planned joy initially meant to celebrate @Sirknight on his successful and impacting completion of two solid years of empowerment and impact on lives and families across the world. In any case, I will take out time to celebrate this legendary Sirknight, for he deserves it.
My heart got beating so fast and I felt deep pains and hurt within me on one part. On the other part, it was a feeling of anger seeming defeat. Though is all started yesterday, reason I could not really concentrate to share my thoughts here, it got to the climax this morning where a young man, a church music leader,committed suicide because of depression. (read here). There are insinuations that the depression was due to financial reasons, he didn't have money to pay house rent, bla bla,...
The rate at which young people are committing suicide on the account of being depressed os getting alarming. Sadly, users of social media even make it look as a trending matter thereby making victims to seem as though they are celebrities.
Few days ago, @Idyjoy wrote about depression and I beg to extract her image. In her words, Idyjoy wrote;
Depression is the feeling of being downcasted and greatly feeling bad. It maybe caused by disappointments, frustrations, humiliation and so many things that does not just work out the way one thought it would.
I know life is Difficult
Certainly, the world is not getting better, there is so much oppression, corruption, injustice, victimization everywhere. The persons who received the people's mandate to represent them in governance have failed in many ways. Others are so wicked to live out their dreams at the expense of the lives and destinies of others. So wicked a world we are and certainly, it doesn't turn out that things will get better.
Should taking One's life be the Solution? NO!
It baffles me how man would be so hearted to poison himself, set his neck to a rope, all in a way to take his life to be free from the torture of this life. Certainly, the faith I profess in Christ Jesus did foretell that terrible times will come. Though in those times, God remains God and creator of all. He owns every life because He made them all (Psalm 24: 1).
God has never given franchise to any man to take his life or another man's life because blood is a precious commodity. That God will save man from situations that would take him that far to considering taking his life, he sent Jesus Christ and offered him as a sacrifice for our ransom that we who were enslaved and awaiting destruction may be delivered.
What People Say versus What I have to Say
With respect to the tragic story I shared in the early part of this blog, the said young man was depressed and eventually took his life because of financial burden. While this may be true, but it goes deeper than we say it. IGNORANCE is the principal culprit.
Bible records that even God's people will perish because of ignorance. Ignorance kills, Ignorance destroys. This ignorance stems from ignorance of God, His attribute, His word and His provision for us.
The faulty knowledge people have about God and life is one reason that has killed many. This being the case could be linked to the fact that they have no reach to the truth. Many are still bound in the cords of slavery to ignorance.
It is therefore a call for #freedomCrusaders to rise and share the message that will liberate lives. Jesus in John 8: 32 said that only the truth can set people free. May we who have been exposed to the messages of freedom not be quiet anymore. May we rise and share the truth using every channel possible and lo, we can save a life.
Moreover, many are unaware of the potentials that God has embedded in them. An average human being dies without maximizing God's endowment. This is an anomaly. God expects us to live out our days. He had created a purpose for us which we must walk into it and fulfil it. Again #freedomcrusaders must rise to responsibility of harnessing potentials in men. Encourage them them that they can do.
By so doing, we'll help take people's focus from men to God. Like on the blockhcain, there are many opportunities that are yet to be harnessed. A platform like #steem will keep paying people who are creative and ready to pen down anything, even pieces of their lives that others can learn from.
How about on #Telos? Currently, telos is very virgin with the want of Developers to create APps that can be integrated into the blockchain. SO much blessings and opportunities around. We all can do something and encourage others too.
The Way out of this Mess: My Role and Your Role
I am well informed of the potential of blockchain technology and the wealth it comes with for those who will avail themselves. Certianly,many are ignorant of this truth.
Earlier today, while trying to onboard some close families and friends to Telos, I discovered that "1 out of 40" people I talked to had virtually no idea about #cryptocurrency, blockchain, etc. Many of them are jobless out there and they think their lives are worth nothing when they should have been here to learn, acquire skills and make wealth.
I will therefore rise up to the task to educate my people in every way possible. It's time to host meetups, seminars, print fliers and brochures to educate our world about the potentials on blockchain.

Everything you have said here is true @uyobong, but I would like to complement something:
It is true that the technology and financial help we can get here is important, but the most important thing is to plant the word that will bring true freedom to life, but many famous artists and personalities will not commit suicide and their lives will not end in misery. This will help all of us to liberate the hearts that have been oppressed. At some point in my life I was attacked by a spirit of loneliness, and we always say how much this will be happy, when I get married, when we have a house, money, car and children, but the truth is that when we reach all this and we do not have Christ we will continue empty, our job is to fill those hearts with the love of Jesus, to tell him that there is a hope that all is not lost and that God can make a difference in his life.
The spirit gives us self-control and courage, we know that in the world we will have affliction, the solution:
The perfect love of Jesus casts out all fear: sickness, death, scarcity, despair, injustice. Let us remember the cross.
Then, he will strengthen us to withstand any adversity and be able to get out of it. .

Only thing I will add as I don't want to take away from your points, is that too many young don't have opportunities available to them. Without opportunities their lives don't improve. And without improvement there cannot be happiness. Hence the depression.
Blockchain - this is an opportunity for a great many, in a great many nations. The young must seize it and improve their lives.
Between Steem and moreso Telos there are opportunities galore. Our job at SteemChurch is to educate about the technology and help them into it. Then let them find their own path.

Some of them are so timid that they won't even go in search for knowledge. They are very complacent with their situation that all they do is wait to see who will pity their situation.
Another case I encountered today when trying to tell a young person about Telos was "whether it's possible for one to receive financial blessings (as in HEARTs, Acorns TLOS) with just registering and setting up his wallet with no other work attached". The central system of our government have blinded the eyes of many that they can't even see any virtue in life anymore.
I pray this holy anger in my heart yield great results and save many from perishing. Thanks you for being a good example and inspiring us everyday.

Through your post i just learn't that
Depression comes when we've changed the direction of our hope from God to man.
That depression comes when we believe in others even more than ourselves.
An average human being dies without maximizing God's endowment on his life and i have decided that i will empty myself of the things God has deposited into me. I am challenged.

I still opine to the fact that nothing is enough to cause you take your own life, whether depression or no depression. Just like @darlenys has rightly stated, the cause of all this happenings is the lack of Christ in a person's life. Reason being that with Christ there is no room for depression cause you are certain He will certainly meet your needs.
Depression is a natural phenomenon. At one point or the other, we all feel depressed and downcast but it is imperative of us to not give in to depression. I can recall when I lost my Mom, I felt all was gone, I felt so depressed but I also discovered that there was this part of me that was feeling strength and giving me hope. I learnt to not give in to depression.
@Liltom002, feeling depressed is not the issue, what you do in response is. Some persons though knowing Christ are still babes and may not be favoured to be with the people that should have fed them with the right information. This is the reason we must arise, share our stories and encourage everyone.
