BRINGING UP GODLY HEROES AND HEROINES

Today we will be discussing on how to raise Godly heroes and heroines,i hope we will find something useful in bringing up our children.We can easily make them better people in the society now that they are still little,there haven't ventured the world to become wild.its usually said once they grow up its hard to control,may God help us in Jesus name and those people that are having challenges in correcting your children God will give you direction on how to handle them.

There is no denying that the task of bringing up Godly heroes and heroines is a great one.Raising children was not easy twenty years ago,as is still not easy today.There is therefore some blueprint that guarantees sure success in child training,there are as follows,

God is the key factor,you can't be hoping to raise godly heroes and heroines without God with you.God owns these children by creation,the most important strategy in raising Godly heroes and heroines is to understand the place of God in their lives and to help them see and accept this place too.It is only at that point that you can actually begin to talk about raising Godly children.The bible says in
Proverbs 3:5-6 King James Version (KJV)
5 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
God's guidance and direction is vital to be a successful parent.Parenting is like walking in an unknown path where there are ups and downs,wilderness and fertile ground.As a result of this,there is need for God's strength,wisdom and Grace in training children.It is God who calms the storm and lead you safely through the wilderness of parenting.

Teaching is another point, a child must be taught,what then do you teach your child?The bible says in
Psalm 119 vs 11 King James Version (KJV)
11 Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.
If you want to raise virtuous and victories heroes and heroines then you have to soak your children in God's word till God's commandments are hidden in their heart.This responsibility is not for only the church alone,as a matter of fact you are the first contact they see and they spend more time with you than their Sunday school teacher.You also have the responsibility to also teach them about life,health issues,relationship with the opposite sex,career and so much more,teach them so that the world won't mislead them.

Diligence: training a child requires diligence and persistence.instructions may have to be repeated over times before it can sink into your child and produce the desired results.You should therefore not quit or give up on the child.Diligently and consistency instill good habits and attitude in them.

Living an exemplary life:children don't listen to what you say as much as they watch what you do,children are the heirs of your values,so you have to be a person of high moral and have spiritual values.If you desire to produce God fearing heroes and heroines then you must live like one,your words must correspond with your actions. You cannot say they should be obedient when you disobey traffic rules,jump queues, tell lies and so much more.The children will grow up and feel they are right things to do,you have to be a model that your children need,they should be able to testify of your faith in God .In raising Godly children you must be able to walk the walk and do what you preach.

Love and friendship:As social beings that we are ,we want to feel a sense of belonging.your child is no exception,they want to know that they are important to you,he wants his opinion to count and also be appreciated just the way he is.As parents we have to come down to the level of our children to understand them,share in his fears and joys,it to your child when you are wrong and apologize. This is difficult but it helps to give your child the sense that you are a friend as much as much as you are his parents.

Time: Spending time with your children is very essential,you can't know your children without spending time with them.You cannot be a good friend if you don't spend time with them.Let your know that he is the center of the world,don't let him feel that you are too busy for him,always squeeze out time to be with them.

Patience: Patience is like sowing a seed,don't give up on your child when it appears your child training efforts are not yielding results.
Galatians 6 vs 9
9 And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.
When all hope seems to be lost and your child is going the opposite way despite your efforts,hold on to God's promises.The seed you have sown in him will surely germinate and bring forth bountiful harvests of gladness and rejoicing,the bible says
Psalm 126 vs 5 King James Version (KJV)
5 They that sow in tears shall reap in joy.

Prayers: Prayer is very important in raising Godly heroes and heroines,absence of prayers will lad to futility.Praying mothers like Samuel's mom and other successful mothers,you will discover that much of their success in birthing and breeding Godly children who greatly blessed generations depended on fervent and persistent prayers.Please note that its the duty of the father and mother to pray for their children.

Now that all this has been said , you must learn to put your children in God's care at all times. Instead of worrying about what will become of your children,especially those in the higher institutions,learn to trust God for their well-being.Once you have diligently done all you should do,just keep praying and know God will handle the rest for you.
Whatever the pains you experience daily in a bid to make them Godly heroes and heroines of every one of your children,don't be discouraged because you will surely reap in due season.They will forever be a source of joy to you and you will have a fruitful and fulfilling old age.
Proverbs 23vs24-25
24 The father of the righteous shall greatly rejoice: and he that begetteth a wise child shall have joy of him.
25 Thy father and thy mother shall be glad, and she that bare thee shall rejoice.
When your children get to their destined positions in life and eternity they will think of you and bless God for your life,for all the instructions,direction ,corrections they received from you.We will not labour in vain.Amen
