1 Timothy 4: 12-13 "Let no man despise your youth, but be an example of the believers in word, conduct, love, spirit, faith and purity."

What does it mean, do not despise your youth?

God uses us at all ages. Although some do not get to know it until later in life. There are others who feel the ardent desire to know him since adolescence. The Bible is full of young and faithful believers who left, in spite of their age, in a great adventure with God. The Lord used them, not because of their age, but because of their heart. To know him from an early age is to spend your life walking with him, learning from him and knowing him. A relationship like that will never age.

(Ezekiel 16:60) "But I will remember the covenant that I made with you in the days of your youth, and I will establish an everlasting covenant with you."

Once God takes hold of you, he will not let you go. He is the same God in our early years. It does not forget you or it leaves you and your love never ages.

(1 Timothy 4:12) Do not allow anyone to despise you because you are young, but be an example for believers in the word, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity. "

In each age, believers can inspire others. How shocking a young Christian can be to others. During a stage of his life when the pressure is so great to conform. At a time in life when it seems that the most important thing fits, there is courage in deciding to stand out by giving an example of what a relationship with Jesus is like.

(Ecclesiastes 12: 1) "Remember your Creator in the days of your youth, before the difficult days come and the years will come when you will say: I find no pleasure in them."

We will all grow old one day, if we are lucky enough to do so. There may come a time when we can not do or go as before. That is why a solid foundation of faith and trust in God is so important. If we build it while we are young, it will remain in our years of advanced age, and even then we will have great pleasure in the past days with the Lord.

(Jeremiah 1: 7-9) "But the Lord said to me:" Do not say: I am too young. You must go with all those who send you and say what I order. Do not be afraid of them, because I am with you and I will rescue you, declares the Lord. "

I love the tenderness of Jeremiah 1: 7-9. The Lord knows that this man has doubts about his ability to carry out God's plan at such a young age. Substitute those doubts by assuring him that there is no reason to fear, for the Lord will be his protector all the way.

(Proverbs 22: 6) "Instruct the child in his way, and not even of old will he depart from him."

As a Father, we must teach our children to follow God and love him with all their heart, mind and soul. Educating them to know the Lord is a constant source of love in their lives. It will offer them protection as they grow up. They may ask questions, or have attacks of worry or fear, but they will not depart from the security that comes from knowing God. They will know that the path they must follow is always back to Him.

(Psalm 71: 5) "Because you have been my hope, sovereign Lord, my trust since my youth".

One of the greatest gifts that God gave to his children was the gift of hope. During the hardest trials of life, we can sustain hope.

It does not matter how small it is, that the Lord will work for the ultimate good. There is a confidence, a constant rumor, that comes from remembering all the ways He has worked in our lives. From an early age until now.

Jesus said that the kingdom of heaven belonged to children.

Jesus said that the kingdom of heaven belonged to children. He knew that his faith was strong, because their hearts had not yet been damaged by a fallen world. The gift that young people bring to the table is that they have an open and receptive worldview. This is exactly how Jesus wants our hearts to be. Open to follow their plans for our lives, and receptive to their presence and endless love. Living in this way ensures that we all remain young at heart. May your relationship with Him always be youthful.

So do not let any one of you despise your youth, if you are young, try to seek the way of the Lord from now on. And if you are a Father, instruct how the word commands and you will see that your children will have a future full of hope and fear of God.

God tells us in his word that we do not despise our youth. Both young and old, God has assigned them a task within the body of Christ, Paul himself said in another of his letters. We all belong to the same body, but not all of us have the same function. The problem is that many people know what role they should play, but very few believe that God has given them the ability to do it and they despise themselves and let others despise them.
