Day # 1- Blessed are the poor in spirits

in #steemchurch6 years ago (edited)

Hello steemchurch family.

My contribution # 1 about the reflection of the Beatitudes, initiated by our beloved Apostle Darlenys.

Matthew: 5-3

The beatitudes given by our Lord in the sermon on the mount to his disciples, is an expression of the spiritual guidance for the Christian to conduct himself in the kingdom of God.

I firmly believe that this is exactly what the Lord wants from his people, people who know the kingdom, willing to follow these characteristics that carry God's grace.

Currently our society has an identity crisis, personalized in a debauchery of pride and arrogance that neutralizes freedom, peace, justice ... and exalts self-centeredness in the life of the human being

Jesus convinced of this reality exalts with blessedness the privilege that man has to achieve these characteristics. Not everyone has the disposition to achieve this blessing, although our Lord Jesus Christ is interested that we all reach the fullness and reach.

Who is a poor spirit?
A person poor in spirit, is one who understands that he needs God to be able to overcome all the internal battles that unfortunately all mortals live, that is, man alone can never reach these characteristics, it is necessary that he sticks and of the new man, according to what the word of God establishes.

A poor spirit is one who can take on all the adversities, situations ... without lamenting or pointing to anyone, is one who is willing to divest himself of something or someone when it can bring limitations or harm someone, is one who asks for forgiveness and forgiveness whenever it is necessary, because it assumes that it is imperfect and fails.

A poor spirit is one who gives what he receives, because internally he appreciates what God gives him and assumes that everything he has comes from God.

A poor person does not boast about anything he gets in this world, nor fame, titles, possessions ... he has the humility to recognize that none of these achievements give true happiness, because they assume that Jesus Christ is the only way to achieve happiness.

A poor person never praises his achievements, because he knows that every perfect gift and every gift comes from God.

A poor spirit is not self-sufficient, nor glory of his natural abilities, because all the time he takes refuge in God, and does not trust his strength, because in the end he has none.

Someone who professes to be poor in spirit does not underestimate the weakest, because people who boast of being strong and capable of solving all their problems by themselves fall into a deep pit of "self-sufficiency".

That is why the poverty of spirit is thirst for God, it is a reliable need to fill an internal void, and recognize that our most sublime works of piety are not merits that allow us to reach the divine goodness, although it is a consequence of the God's mercy, for man, because being, "poor in spirit" goes much beyond being kind.

The poor in spirit live constantly with an indescribable gratitude in their hearts, humiliated before God and with an excessive humility of being unable to impress God with anything.

Thanks to steemchurch, to our friend Sirknight, to our Apostle Darlenys for motivating us to write this great message.

Very good teaching @xiore God wants at this time that their children reach the promises of the beatitudes, to be a blessed is to be happy.

Poor in spirit means that you realize what you lack. You know that you don’t have what it takes. You have nothing to offer. What does that look like in real life
Very good message
Thank you

The illumination of each teaching of this first round of the beatitudes, will take our humanity to be better people. Good interpretation sister Xiore

I like your teaching @xiore, understanding the beatitudes and living in them makes us really happy.

I bless being heirs of that kingdom where the streets are golden and the sea of glass, where there will be no sadness or pain, and we will be with the Father until the end, thanks for this word sister @xiore

Poor in spirit, you need to depend directly on God in all your needs. It is not with sword or army but with his Holy Spirit. Blessings.

The dependence on God is what allows us to be poor spiritually.
Good reflection @xiore....
