The potter and the clay
This chapter tells the experience of a man of God named Jeremiah in the house of a potter, the Bible tells us that this man visits the house of this potter because God tells him: get up and go to the potter's house, that is, visit the potter's house at God's request
There he learns that the potter rejects from time to time some vessel due to his poor quality, so God also acts as sovereign over the people of Judah
What the potter does depends on the quality of the clay, what God does with his people depends on the way he responds to the divine call
Mud can thwart the potter's intentions and force him to redo the pot, just as the quality of the mud limits what the potter can create from the quality of the people depends what God can do with it
¡We appreciate that Jehovah is our potter!
¡A potter turns a piece of clay into a vessel
¡How great is our God! - by turning us from nothing into something extraordinary!
Therefore we read in verse 4 of this text that Jeremiah, when he enters the potter's house, sees that the earthen pot he made "was spoiled" which means that the clay did not satisfy the potter's intentions and he went back to making another vessel
Then God tells Jeremiah. Can I not make you like this potter, O house of Israel? - Behold, as the clay in the hand of the potter, so are you in my hand
The potter could do something different with the clay, but not the pot he had wanted to make
The Lord limits his sovereign action according to the response of the people to the divine call
We are like mud in the hands of the potter before God
The word of God is a dynamic and creative force through which its purpose is fulfilled
Jeremiah repeatedly uses the verbs "tear, ruin or destroy, tear down, build and plantto imply that God in his sovereignty performs all these things in men and on earth
A person who has faith relies on the word of God and understands that the Lord is faithful to his word
He knows that God honors his word above all and feels in his heart that God has committed to fulfill it, remains confident in the promises of God and takes and take their warnings seriously
We are mud in the hands of God, let yourself be molded!

God gives this vision to Jeremiah to show him that He is the best potter and that if a normal potter can make a vessel and if it is bad or does not like it he returns to do it again how much more He who is the author and creator of our lives
According to Jeremiah the potter found something defective in the vessel and destroyed it in order to make a new one because the vessel was sick and this vessel had to be healed
When we rest in the hands of the potter I guarantee that all our wounds are healed
amada hermanita tengo como experiencia el haber trabajado con arcilla con esculturas y vasijas y es verdad lo que dices hay distintos tipos de arcillas la gris, la rosada, la amarilla,la roja y muchas mas y cada una de ellas reacciona de distintas maneras al contacto con el agua unas aflojan mas rapido unas son mas suaves unas se secan demasiado rapido y las que son mas suaves y retienen mas la humedad son mas faciles de moldear para el alfarero ,de la misma manera hay personas que son llamadas con suavidad por el señor pero no absorven el llamado y se seca la palabra rapidamente sobre ellos otros son demasiado duros y no dejan que el llamado divino a traves de la palabra entre en ellos y otros son demasiado suaves y dejan que el llamado los arrope y penetre en ellos, estos son los que el alfarero logra terminar con exito porque son encontrados en ellos todas las cualidades para ser una vasija y una vasija bien hecha la usa el señor para servir y servir la palabra que es la semilla amen asi como amo a cristo sin haberlo visto asi tambien te amo mucho a ti y hoy te abro una puerta de sabiduria y te bendigo en el nombre de jesus con la autoridad que me da mi padre y mi amigo el espiritu santo amen
