I snooz for a few days (while being on a well deserved vacation) and development explodes.

There's so much to tell about development updates.

I need to up my game I think.

For now though, I will share two projects that I find interesting.

One is a witness overview site, the other a messenger app that looks to go beyond and bring lot's of good stuff when it will be released.

@asbear has created a site to bring more transparency to witnesses and witness voting.

There are other sites and tools out there, but this one looks pretty fresh and looks to combine multiple site with diverse information all in one. Kudos for that.

Being a witness myself with @blockbrothers, I will definitely keep tabs on this site and see how it can helps us self-monitor and see what's happening on the other side of the fence.

What's cool

• It shows all sorts of info in regards to witnesses and their voting behaviour.
• It will list disabled witnesses in red (super easy to see an offline witness node)
• it will show a warning sign for those witnesses that have approvals outstanding on other disabled node.
• It has detailed witness reports.

@kingswisdom is working steadily on his SteemMessenger development, bringing lot's of new updates and improvements.

What's cool

• Instant messaging
• Data transfer
• Modularity
  This update brings Emoji to the app.
  Read more about the SteemMessenger update here in a later update, Emoji's have been added as well. While still in private beta, this does look like one to watch.
