A bit of Steemfest
Hello there!
Firstly, apologies for the lack of updates from myself these last few days, I trust the #steemfest tag is keeping you up to date. I'm finding it tough to find the time to document anything, but at least there are people like @tarazkp who is still managing at least two posts a day - those 5am showers seem to be doing the trick.
Just in case you were wondering if Steemfest is all work and no play, I've managed to get to bed at 5am, 3am, and 5am so far. Clearly there just aren't enough hours in the day to listen, learn, and socialise. I think this is what my mum would call 'burning the candle at both ends', and I'm going to need a good rest next week.
As expected, the event has been an interaction and information overload. In addition to the scheduled events, there are discussions taking place all around me - a down-vote pool, the SMT delays, and Neds new project 'Destiny', to name just a few.
I've found myself thanking a bunch of people this year. It was great to meet @elear and some of the utopian team - if it wasn't for this project (and the support of you guys), I'd likely be sitting at a desk right now. Instead, this:
Hopefully a better write up will come when I'm back home. Time is short and I feel like I'm missing out on something whilst writing this. Again, apologies for the weak engagement here on Steem this week, there is plenty happening here off chain 😊

It must be so crazy for people like elear to find out that the thing they built has significantly improved the lives of random peeps around the world. So amazing.
So.. there's no time for steemmonsters too😂 but I Think it must be really exciting real engagement.. go..go.. keep yourself busy at the steemfest 😉 we're not too busy engaging too.

haaahhh... you should tell the founder about that too.. LOL, there's so many imbalance game these days, 10k points against 3k points.. not cool, well.. I play 30 game just rumble and skip, 75% LOL

It's a nice city, I do like a bit of water near by. I must say, and was pre-warned, it can get pretty smoggy in the evening and early hours - most of my clothes smell like coal, and I saw plenty of people with masks.
Then you have the salt mine not far from the centre which brags ultra clean air and is used to help people with respiratory issues. That was a really cool place to visit I must say. Cheers!
Yes unfortunately the big cities still have a majority of coal powered heating, both homes and factories. It is much cleaner air in the summer time of course.
Glad you liked it, try Zakopane in July for the most superb and relatively cheap get away next. :-)

Also, I found out Dlive left Steem. That seems like a kick in the mouth? How bad to you assess that at and the fact they deemed the Steem network or following insufficient? Peace
