Ulog #31: New Pokémon Themed Game

I'm talking about the 'Pokémon Magikarp Jump'. You basically need to train your Magikarp and jump higher than the opponents Magikarp you're against to progress in the game.

There are 3 ways to get your Magikarp bigger, stronger and jump higher.

1. Training feature
   At the beginning of the game, you can only train your Magikarp a maximum of 3 times. Your training points refill 1 point every 30 minutes. This gives you the most EXP for your Magikarp thus why the limited points and long refill wait time.

1. Pond Food feature
   Food that your Magikarp can eat to level up will randomly appear in the pond and depending on your trainer level you can unlock better food so your Magikarp can level up faster.

2. Random Events feature
   There is this thing called random events in the game that will be triggered randomly in 3 different ways. It gets triggered when you finish the training feature, the food pond feature or finish a league match.

League Matches

So the reason for all these trainings and getting your Magikarp stronger is so that it can compete in the league matches. It's pretty much quite straight forward here with your Magikarp going up against another player and see which Magikarp jumps higher. The highest Magikarp jumper, wins!

Progress through each stage to win the league you're in and get some extra perks.

One of the main perks is getting you're favourite Pokémon, other than Magikarp, to come by your pond and make it their home as well.

Overall I think this is a fun and relaxing game. It is a grinding game, I mean, what game isn't nowadays, but it's a cool game especially if you're a Pokémon fan like myself.
