Drones are definitely cool and a fun to play around, but what about water drones? They're even cooler in my opinion and not that "famous" as the ones you fly around. PowerVision is the company that not only created the poweregg or the powereye cool aerial drones, but also some marine ones that are definitely a catch. Today I have hunted the PowerDolphin marine drone from their official website and here you have a short presentation of it.
The drone is not on sale yet, but it will be at around $750 when it goes on sale, according to digitaltrends and it it's definitely a must have if you're a drone fan and why not a surfer. If you like water sports this drone will be able to record your surfing or other activities at 4K at 30 fps while using a 215° wide angle and will do that above and under water. You can also live stream you experience with it at 1080p.
If you're not a surfer than you can use the drone as for towing bait or your lure and according to the company that created it, will help almost any fisherman, experienced or not, to also find fish using the PowerSeeker accurate system while "swimming" faster than an Olympic champion. The same system works also when you want to accurate release the bait to "that spot". With its 132° video recording range you can also record your catch while dragging it on the shore or boat so you can have your laurels recorded.
With three different speed levels of 6.54 ft/s, 9.84 ft/s and 16.4 ft/s the drone can be used as a rescue mission also where one can attach a lifeline to it and fast and accurately release it where the situation reacquires. The drone can be controlled via its remote controller or through a smartphone app and can be "directed" home with just a push of a button while recording videos up to 1000 meters away from you and your remote control.
The drone has an interchangeable battery and a microSD card while the autonomy of it is of about two hours. For the moment it is not on sale, but at $749 as it is supposed to be sold I consider it a bargain.
Pros:
- 4k video recording at 30fps and live streaming at 1080p;
- the price of $749 is definitely a catch for that much tech in it;
- being able to remote control it with your smartphone it's a plus if you forget your remote controller at home;
- 1000 meters of range and a one push of button returning home option.
