In a nutshell, this is a system to get fresh water from sea water.
The main component is a filter. For the filtration to work the water must be supplied under a high pressure what is achieved by placing the water to the high level.
The key advantage (compared with another similar sea water desalination solutions) of this system is that it is powered by solar energy (no batteries/need for electricity = no pollution (including CO2)).
Also it can be scaled to be used as for a single home as for an entire village.
Basically: solar/wind energy + gravity + sea => fresh water
Important:
The technology has been successfully tested in the field during a pilot in Indonesia and is ready for commercial implementation

Nice one. Drinkable water is geting more and more scarce and this looks like a good solution. No convetianal oil used.
The people around sea water see a lot of sea water but sometimes very little drinking water. This is a great way to convert sea water to drinking water and it is powered by solar power which is free to some extent. This will be very useful in rural areas that are close to the sea.

This is fuckking awesome and game changer. It might solve problems with drinkable water in the near future as it can filter unbelievable 50,000 liters per day. Uses enhanced filtration method and it is powered with electrc power. Great one man!!
