Waterways (canals, rivers, lakes) have pollutants what influence the biodiversity of water habitats.
It is a floating system which consists of biodegradable (coir) and non-biodegradable long lasting tough materials to place plants.
Plant roots provide a habitat for microorganisms which can eat pollutants and improve water quality
Floating plants absorb 10-20 times more pollutants than they would on shore

This system also has its own special media (look at the second photo)
One meter of dynamic media column equals approximately 15 m2 of root surface

Which increases the surface for biodiversity even further.
This system gives food and habitat for fish, birds and other species.
It's a modular, customizable and quite beautiful solution
