Do you know we often waste energy by the vehicle due to friction. As we know Energy Wastage is one of the big that we are facing nowadays. To overcome with this Wastage engineers University of Wisconsin-Madison Developed a Nanogenerator that will be able to generate Energy when car wheels will in motion.
This energy can be changed in electric energy this is to make the Vehicle more energy efficient.
“The friction between the tire and the ground consumes about 10 percent of a vehicle’s fuel,” he says. “That energy is wasted. So if we can convert that energy, it could give us very good improvement in fuel efficiency.” source

This is simply amazing 😱 But at the same time it was inevitable. I knew somebody had to make this energy recycling thing.
Even small things add up over time. If we capture even a fraction of the wasted energy it can make our fuel expenses go lower. We'll also be able to have fossil fuels available for also longer time. We'll reduce pollution and that will lead to better environment and health.
The butterfly effect is strong in this one. Hope their research goes into actual production super soon.
A great concept to make energy out of friction of the moving vehicle tires. Even though it is still under research stage and I sure this technology will come to real world applications soon and it will be a innovation indeed.

I think regenerating, or capturing energy, typically lost through friction can have huge impacts, especially for electric cars. If the retrieved power can be re-distributed back to the fuel cell/battery, that's quite a boost in range/efficiency.
And where might this technology lead in the future? Today, it might be 10% we can find back, tomorrow 15%. As the tech gets better, and possibly in combination with other solar power too, we might even see vehicles which can run 10x, 100x the distance as current models.
Couple that with advances in fuel cells, and battery storage, and the electric cars of tomorrow might never need charging - or in less sunny climates, very infrequently. That will see one of the obstacles to adoption disappear - the difficulty in finding/using charging stations.

Awesome idea and positive thinking. Energy crisis is a big issue everywhere.According to this a part energy wasted as we used fuel in our vehicles. With the friction of tyre and road when vehicle travel then energy produced but due to non awarwness and unavailibility of reliable system it destroyed. But the "Nanogenerator" is a device which make it useful and our vehicle got extra energy
I really like this concept. It is true that a bigger portion of fuel energy go wasted. This concept will save huge amount of energy from vehicles, if integrated practically. I appreciate every effort towards sustainability. This is a fine find!

There is so much wasted energy on a car and this is a fairly obvious one.I know Formula one teams are harvesting energy from the brakes so this is another fantastic idea.Fuel efficient cars are what is needed and who knows this will be another source of energy for electric cars as well.Another great hunt and keep hunting.
Rolling car tire consumes energy but here comes a Nanogenerator that does the opposite - generate energy! If all energy-consuming mechanism can be turned into energy generation like this Nanogenerator then that will be amazing. Our problems about energy will be significantly decreased. That will empower enterprises and individuals to be more efficient.
